I am glad the creep got caught... I would make the jurk pay for the damage to the bike, plus make him clean your house, car and anything else for you for 5 years...

The only good thing about dumb crooks is that they're easy to catch. Even with one leg and brain damage Mr. Chivers had the upper hand over this pea brain. Look for this story on "The Smoking Gun."

Well I am glad that Mr. Chivers got his bicycle back. It is hard enough to have personal items that cost a lot of Money taken. Now, if we could get Mr. Chivers himself to stop sending threating emails to other people, he could enjoy his bicycle.
I am just sayin'.

Actually, I suspect he has a brain the size of a walnut. Now if they would just take a kidney from him and sell it to cover the cost of the repairs to the bike all will be well.

Guys, I really appreciate your assistance and the exposure I needed to have the bike returned, it angered the APD. Because they knew I had used the Television newws coverage stations to draw exposure. Having stolen items returned is not something they want to happen, they want stolen item to just go away, end up in lost and found, so that they can buy them months later at penny's on the dollar. When I picked up the bike at 4th and Ranchitios, one of the officers acutally said, "I hope the other three come after you", but its too, late now. I am more than gone. yes I am hard work on one leg, but I did it, thank you again KOB, you have been my I-CON of news all my life, and I mean that. Jim Chivers.

How professional! I feel safer in this city already! What do you think about that comment Marty & Ray??? This reflects on you, Sirs.

Mr. Chivers - I wish you the best. Perhaps your post here might make it to APD and be reviewed as ways NOT to conduct yourself to the public you supposedly serve & protect. This make the whole dept. look bad.

I find it hard to believe that the police want the three men "to go after" this guy. What crud! If that statement was made, I am sure they ment so they could catch them too. This string of comments was going so well too without all the usual junk that is written. Have gotten your wish...another soap box to jump onto.

All this doesn't add up. The paper said he lives near 2nd and Alameda.(BCSO Jurisdiction) In the interview his trash dumpster is a grey one.(Bernalillo County, ABQ dumpsters are black). The 911 call is Bernalillo County again. The ATM is in front of Village Subs in the Village of Los Ranchos.(BCSO Jurisdiction) To drive from 2nd and Alameda to Village Subs would not even pass through the city limits.

So what does APD have to do with any of this? I am very suspect that the Chivers posting here is not the person with the bike, but an imposter. While I share this poster's disdain for APD, they didn't even have anything to do with this.

I find it hard to believe an APD officer said what you claimed. The reason you got your bike back was you made a call to 911 & officers were waiting at the ATM machine to arrest the punk who stole your bike. I'm glad you recovered your property but am disgusted that you are bashing APD cops when it's thanks to them you did get the bike back.

Funny how so many who have hateful things to say about APD police officers' are the first to yell for their help when their property is stolen.

The APD was there because they have a sub-station at 2nd at Montano, close than the County Sheriff, they heard multiple voices in the background. The dumpster is a handicap dumpster from Rio Rancho, grey so that the driver can easily identify a dumpster than he is required to get out of his truck and move into postition, because of my in ability to do so. The refuge service in Rio Rancho has been excellent, they have done me a great service, better than I would have received in the city. I am sorry you find this story bogus, but it can be proved, contact, Officer Mackey of the Bernalillo Country Sheriff dept. if you have any concerns. But KOB TV is the real hero's here. They should be highly commended for helping a little guy, like myself. I did not want 15 minutes of fame, I wanted my damned bike back, that simple.

I realize that you are a fat cow, that sits on the couch, too afraid to go outside because you know that you will be expected to play victim, which most people in your area do. Even you police department lacked the backbone to go into that highschool at Columbine and attempt to save even one single life. But, FATASS, if you want to sit on the couch and play victim to the slime of your filthy illegal immigrant riden city, then so be it. Personally, I would like to know exactly who you are, so that I can send a member of the US Marsharls department over to talk to you about you fat mouth. Denver residents all have the Columbine Syndrome, Oh my God, they are going to get me. You spoil your children then fail to protect them from emotional abuse, you play victim, like I said. You ever accuse me of being low in intelligence again, I will have your address book inside of 20 minutes, and if you need personal references to that remark, you may call Microsoft at 800- 744-3223, and ask for the list of suspected cyber problem children.

Mr.Chivers would'nt be handicap if he werent an impatient arrogant dillweed. He claims to have lost his leg because of a drunk driver? RIGHT! Maybe because of his brain injury he has convinced himself of that but in reality he was trying to pass on the shoulder. Mr.Chivers, in my opinion, has staged this whole thing because of wanting more people to gripe about or send hate mail to.
