I hope people go vote.
For all the complaining about APS Board members, I'd sure like to see some of these people walk the walk after talking the talk!

“For purposes of absentee voting, Districts III, V, VI, and VII are
consolidated into two absentee in person voting locations; such absent
voter precincts are as follows:(1) the Clerk’s Office Annex, 620 Lomas,
N.W., Albuquerque, New Mexico, and (2) City Centre, 6400 Uptown
Boulevard NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico (collectively the "Absentee
Voting Locations"). Absentee voting will be permitted as authorized by
Section 1-22-19 NMSA 1978, and the Absent Voter Act of the Election
Code, Sections 1-6-1 through 1-6-18, NMSA 1978. Applications for
absentee ballots may be obtained from the Absentee Voting Locations;
however, at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2009, the County Clerk is
required by statute to destroy unused absentee ballots, so completed
applications must be returned to the County Clerk prior to that time.
Absentee ballots of District voters may be marked in person at the office
of the Clerk’s Office Annex, 620 Lomas, N.W., Albuquerque, New
Mexico, and delivered to the County Clerk from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on
Friday, January 9, 2009, until Friday, January 30, 2009. At any time prior
to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2009, any person in District III, V,
VI, or VII whose absentee ballot application has been accepted and who
was mailed an absentee ballot but who has not received the absentee ballotmay execute, in the office of the County Clerk of Bernalillo County, a
sworn affidavit stating that he did not receive or vote his absentee ballot.
Upon receipt of the sworn affidavit, the County Clerk shall issue the voter
a replacement absentee ballot. Sealed envelopes containing marked
absentee ballots of District voters will be received by the County Clerk of
Bernalillo County until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2009.
For purposes of early voting, Districts III, V, VI, and VII are
consolidated into two early voting locations as follows:(1) the Clerk’s
Office Annex, 620 Lomas, N.W., Albuquerque, New Mexico, and (2) City
Centre, 6400 Uptown Boulevard NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico
(collectively “Early Voting Locations”). Early voting ballots may be
marked in person at the Early Voting Locations from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2009, until Friday, January 30, 2009.”

APS / CNM February 3rd Election
Voter Registration for the APS/CNM election ends on Tuesday, January 6 at 5:00pm.
2009 APS/CNM election will be conducted as follows:

Request an Absentee Ballot Application
Applications Ballot Applications may be requested from the County Clerk January 9, 2008 – February 30, 2009
Ballots will be mailed to voters who have returned a complete absentee ballot application.
Absentee Voting is done by mail and on a paper ballot. Anyone may vote absentee as long as they are registered to vote in Bernalillo County.

Monday January 25, 2009 – Friday January 30, 2009: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Election Day is February 3, 2009. Voting will occur at one of 134 consolidated precincts in Bernalillo and Sandoval County. A complete listing of Consolidated precincts/polling locations can be found by clicking here. The Bernalillo County “Where do I Vote?” online web tool will be activated on January 9, 2009. Please check back at www.bernco.gov/clerk to use this tool and to obtain a sample ballot.
