I'm not talking about where it was filmed (in point of fact, the remake was filmed in Morocco), I'm talking about where it is set; it takes place in southern NM.

This patriot served 20 years in the US Military....and has the ability to see all sides of an issue, and not be blinded by personal prejudices...

Yeah, Atari for making technology advance.

Nintendo for making a video game console that also has very real benefits for physical therapy (the Wii).

And Sony for making what was the cheapest Blu-ray player for more than a year (it ended up that people were buying the PS3 for the blu-ray/DVD upscaling capabilities, and basically getting the gaming capabilities for free).

Very pointless, indeed.

Daniel is as patriotic as anyone on these threads, how dare you accuse him of this. You have shown everyone, once again, that you are nothing more than a revolting little puke who hides behind his bible and tries to tear everyone else down in order to make yourself feel better about your own pathetic and hypocritical existence.

What? You think? Duh. Put some time in uniform before you pick on real Americans like Daniel in Hobbs. I may disagree with him on some issues, but I respect him a lot more then I'll ever respect your "holier than thou" attitude. Now, God bless you to be gone. Putz!

I think this discription is more appropriate for you. You have yet to condemn the actions of Nidal, and muslim extremists in any kind of fashion. Would you deny going to war with the terrorists because we are being bigoted by calling the terrorists what they are? Muslim extremists? You hide behind a self-righteous, tolerance facade, but the only thing you tolerate is any hatred against christians and sympathy with muslim extremists. Yup, you are SO patriotic.

I do not tolerate hatred of any kind, and I show no sympathy towards christian nor muslim extremists...most wars, conflicts, and massacres have been the result of extreme religious views..one culture forcing their particular faith onto others...and the christians are light years ahead of the muslims in that category..exterminating entire races to further their agenda, and steal the poor peoples wealth...or perhaps you never learned about the mayans and aztecs...or the crusades...or bosnia...or Germany...and on and on.....

Germany wasn't exactly a religious war. Mayans and aztecs? Most wars are fought for greed, ethnic cleansing, power, not for God.

I think you need to learn more history dude.

What About Atrocities That Have Been Done in the Name of Religion?
by Rich Deem
Introduction Many atheists claim that religion is evil and, as such, cannot be from God. It is true that there are many examples of evil committed in the name of Christianity. In the past, those who disagreed with "official" church doctrine, such as Galileo were persecuted or killed. Many other Christians were brought before the Inquisition because they were teaching from the Bible instead of from "officially sanctioned" Roman Catholic Church materials. In addition, the Crusades resulted in "holy" wars between "Christians," Jews, and Moslems. In more modern times, wars have been fought between Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland and between Jews and Arabs in the Middle East. However, common to all this violence was an underlying struggle for power. Today, some people kill abortionists in the name of God. Are these people unwilling pawns of religion or using religion to justify their own evil agendas?

History of human atrocitiesTherefore, I absolutely agree with atheists and others who say that many atrocious things have been done in the name of God, and even in the name of Christianity. However, these atrocities were not perpetrated by God, but by evil human beings. If we look at the history of democide (which includes genocide, politicide, and mass murder, but not war-dead) prior to the 20th century, we find that millions of people were killed by people groups who wanted the other people groups eliminated. Note that these numbers do not include those killed through wars.

As I pointed out in post #169 of the Fort Hood Terrorist thread, I have condemed Hasan and his actions multiple times, thus making you either a cowardly liar, or a lazy and incompetent debater. In any case, your bigoted and mean spirited tirades against the rest of us deserve no respect or credibility. Ditto for your qualifications as a Christian and human being. Pathetic, hypocritical puke.

And once again, I am sorry. I also apologize and say sorry to Daniel in Hobbs. Sometimes the emotion of the issue can get to the each of us. God bless you both for your service in the armed forces. And God bless every soldier. I appreciate the freedoms we have, especially to discuss and vent even here.

Daily Horoscope for December 5

Taurus

This is a day for turning your attention to your finances, especially if you're currently working on the budget for domestic improvements or changes. Talk to the other people concerned and really listen to what they're saying. They'll have some great insights. It will be far more productive to work as a harmonious team rather than as warring factions.
