Well, KOB's site is certainly amusing now that they have changed it. I'm unable to post as a Guest, to login under my old handle etc, nor as a new registered user either. Typical KOB...

Oh, and my email address as a login (as it implies) doesn't work either.

Finally got in. The new KOB site really stinks for legitimate posting.

Hola KOB rejects (like me)!

Morning CD, how you today?

Apparently we are the only ones, with OO and Roxy, that thought about going straight to Topix through their website. I'm going to email Xena and the rest of the gang and tell them about it. Catch you later and check out my new avatar. Lordy, do these pictures bring back memories.

Good morning Joseph, what's up?

It isn't cold outside, don't you listen to Al Gore? The earth is getting hotter by the minute so it must be in your imagination<G>. Oh, and the northern mountains in our state have more snow on them right now than they have had in October for years. And friends of ours that live in Wisconsin say it hasn't been this cold this early in years either.

But Gore told us that the we are burning up right now so I think I will put on a pair of shorts and sit in the sun for a while. After all, it's a beautiful, sunny day here and a balmy 33 degrees!!(sarcasm fully intentional)

Oh my golly-goodness...you are so silly. I know, I know. But you do remember there was a movie out, global warming will cause more cold.{I am still trying to figure this out...you don't put ice trays in the oven to get ice...maybe I'm missing something.}

Ahoy! Hopefully they'll migrate over too. No avatar shows yet but as I remember, it took Topix awhile for stuff like that to show up.

I get a kick out of the global warmers who have the doomsday attitude. If they're so worried about CO2 and O2 then they need to off themselves and lessen the carbon footprint on the earth. Certainly they spew more CO2 than just by breathing. I wonder of they spoke out in the woods if the trees would absorb all their trash talking?

Are you logged in CD? It shows up fine for me, as does Joseph's, while your posts look like you are posting as a guest. Nothing showing but your name.

Nah, I've not logged in yet. I've just used my old handle and posted as a guest so far. I can see Joseph's avatar just fine... Hmmm...

lol....Maybe the Gordo was trying to explain to us that the warmer the poles get the colder the rest of the world will get? That's OK, let the polar bears and seals migrate to our shores, I hear they are great eating<G>.

I don't pay much attention to all this globull warming nonsense. If you were as old as CD and I you would have heard all the same nonsense in the late '60's. Only then man-made emissions were causing the earth to cool. By the year 2000 we were going to be in another ice-age if something was not done right away!!!

This got us unleaded gasoline, smaller cars, higher costs for electricity because coal fired plants had to install all kinds of filters in their smokestacks, higher costs for copper and steel for the same reason, all the same BS you hear today. Does this sound familiar to you?

So I have been telling my more liberal friends that have drank the kool-aid that the answer to globull warming was simple. Let's just regress back to the "science" of the 1960's. Bring back leaded fuel with a minimum octane of 90. Rip all the filters out of the coal fired power plants and build more of them. Open up the smokestacks of the smelters and steel mills and let 'em spew baby spew! Bring back the big old 440 Dodge engines, along with the Ford 400 big block, Chevy 427's, all the big old emission spewing motors that were in 'Cudas, Mustangs, Chevelles, the engines we used to have that could tear a set of rear tires off in one weekend of cruising main.

After all, 40 years ago scientists claimed it was causing the earth to cool down at an alarming rate so lets cool things down again. The added bonus is that the cost of electricity and gas would go down, gasoline would be cheaper, and I would be able to buy a new car that looked like and ran like a real American car. A muscle car!! And I do love the smell of burning rubber<G>.

Daily Horoscope for December 15

Scorpio

You're feeling conciliatory and compassionate today, and you're ready to bury the hatchet if you've been at odds with someone recently. You may have to make the first move, and risk getting a brush off, but you'll consider that a small price to pay if it means you're able to restore the peace. The relief you feel will tell you how much this has been preying on your mind.
