They can't get past their backwards, antiquated notions of how the world should be, striving in futility to drag everyone back into the past with them instead of expanding their minds and methods for advancing humanity into a future of boundless possibilities.

This is worth repeating.
Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way that you can quickly understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic . Someone over there has it figured out. It was translated into English from an article in the Prague newspaper Prager Zeitungon

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who
is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president."

the Prague newspaper Prager Zeitungon is actually a German Neo-Nazi newspaper run out of the Czech Republic because the German Government banned all things Neo-Nazi and they'd end up in prison if they published out of Germany

i cannot think of a more fitting signal to the GOp than a good solid thumping.

Whether they have any ability to understand what just happened to Mitty, is hopeful at best.
Don't come back until you have a party that is not bitter and self-righteous.

the one with the truth problem. The post from the actual neo-nazi news never says what is wrong with the president - just that we are fools to vote for him. That is your frst hint that it is simply about race...

They *need* to evolve. Do you think Faux News wanted to have to report this?

More electoral votes than any republican in the last 24 years. That says something about the GOP pretty loudly and clearly.

Yeah, those Czechs are at the top of their game, as usual.

If I'd posted something from over there you'd be calling me a communist or suggesting I move there.

President Obama is the most important President since FDR. He's brought million of people into the electoral process who hadn't dare dream of having an effect on our country's future.

But keep it up, that attitude is going to do nothing to improve the GOPs chance of winning the young, the nonwhite, and single women. You'll never win another national election without them.
And since I find you to be an ignorant racist, that's fine with me.

You're still fighting THAT war? Jesus, why not try to scare us with withces, vampires, Satan, or some other imaginary threat.

Besides......Under capitalism, man exploits man. Under communism, it's the opposite. Someplace in the middle we find what works best for the largest number of people, time and again.

Yes Obama is important, just like FDR, who successfully delayed the recovery from the Great Depression with his policies, and only WW-II intervened to stop him.
