It's scary to think the President will pre-empt the House of Representatives and the Senate and take it upon himself to issue AN EDICT abrogating the Bill of Rights' 2nd Amendment. He's starting to sound a bit like Egypt's President Morsi.

It would provide more safety to ban politicians who know nothing about which they propose to legislate. History shows that the fewer the politicians the less the crime, and at a lot less expense.

That President has not issued an executive order, so you don't know what any such order would do if one is issued.

But, just to be on the safe side, maybe you should go buy several more guns tomorrow.

Well, I think Man Who Would Be King would be a wiser choice of words, with apologies to Rudyard Kipling.
