I have lived in Albany my whole life, Pine Hills area above Manning Blvd. That area has on Delaware Ave. always been considered the ghetto, I don't know why anyone would deny that.

Perps will be characterized by their grandmothers as "good kids" who can't "find jobs", and:

1. Be aspiring raps stars.

2. Have 2 and 3 yr olds.

3. Thinking about working on their GED's.

Murders happen when the police waste their time chasing after the Hoosick Falls fugitive, and than three young men being killed is ignored. Where are the police to serve and PROTECT!!!! There to busy crying over someone being released.

graffiti is the least of our problems in this neighborhood, we should be dealing with the drug dealers and gang activity instead of worrying about kids trying to portrait their form of art

i think the graffiti in this neighborhood is the least of our problems, and noone is saying you cant go out and buy sub woofers for your car and blast your own music, but the police should work on the gangs and drug dealers.

i highly agree with the person above me, i strongly believe that graffiti is not a big issue in this city. i think that the gang violence and the drugs are the biggest issue. i grew up on grand st. and was surrounded by gang violence and drug deals, and i have to say, ive seen more killings and violence in my life, than ive ever seen graffiti. i would also like to add that i knew Keynon and he will be forever missed. thank you.

Harry, you obviously dont know these kids, these people are kind hearted people, and live how they live due to their surroundings. your a product of where you come from, and where these kids come from, its kill or be killed. mabye if you weren't in some fancy mansion and lived at a regular human, youd understand that.

I've never known this area of Delaware Avenue to be considered the ghetto. Wow. Did the Porcos live in the ghetto too? Where you live isn't what keeps you alive.

I live this area for 6 years, this area is not a bad place to live. I rent apartment in this area and will buy a house in this. ms.tammy dewees only comment because they believe that the victims are black if they was white she, see if they will be on the market.

I grew up in Albany and know it like the back of my hand. Yeah that area has been on a demise. But that area where all of the old mom and pop shops was not considered the ghetto. Until we realize its everyones problem and not just the people living there, then and only then will things change. This doesnt look good for Albany, its another sore spot. But for someone to suggest murder and crime is only bound to an area. It shows me they are illiterate and thats what hate groups are mostly made up.

My heart goes out to the families of the loved ones lost.. We all have to pull together as a community and help each other heal.. Parents have to hold onto their children and help them cope with this tragedy.. I try to fix what I can for my daughters but this one I cant fix.. I sat and held my 13 y/o daughter while she cried for the friend she just lost. Everyone complains about things but do YOU really do anything about it.. Dont TALK about it.. DO something ABOUT it...

so sad my condolences to the families. However as i read these postings all i can think of is how far we really are from bridging the gap between races. color has nothing to do with this tragedy, and the neighborhood has even less to do with it.
It is a sad senseless crime that could have happened anywhere, remember that when you lock your doors at night.\
Whatever happened to love thy neighbor? And cant we all just get along?

The Ghetto, I grew up in this neighborhood, and never once have I heard of anyone refer to that area as the ghetto. It's a nice neighbor hood. With the person that did this having as many problems as he has, he would have done this anyway. This is not about grafitti, neighborhoods, or anything like that. It's about 3 young people dying way before thier time. It's a shame anyway you look at it. My daughter and cousin know that 16 year old kid, and he was described as a good kid, no gang activity, played sports, went to school...he did NOT deserve what happened to him and his family....
