According to the Times Union, Marciano will receive five years probation. Also, it doesn't seem likely that Marciano would get more time than Pivoda for witnessing a crime that Pivoda did.

Where did the reporter get her information? I know the TU is correct.

As I remember Guy Velella was convicted of a Felony and received 80,0000.00 a year..will these two State Of NY employees lose everything or do you have to be a Senator to be able to commit crimes and still be a winner ? What A State !!!!

Puleez! While it is admirable that these two got punished for cheating the taxpayers, they are small potatoes compared to the overwhelming bulk of state employees who fudge their time and bend other rules as it suits them.
Having been a contractor on more than one site, if the general public knew what really goes on in state government they would be infuriated. Blame the unions for this sorry state of affairs because short of committing a felony these people can't be touched.
Personally, I am disgusted by this entire subject. The beat goes on and it's so wrong - yet nothing is ever said or done to reform even this part of state government.

And what about the legislators and their cronies and their relatives on the state payroll? We seriously need to downsize the government and get rid of these leeches.

We can send public employees to jail for goofing off?? Gee...better arrest every politician in America!!!

If they were President or Govener, they could do drugs and get BJs and not go to jail!

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Aries

The prospect of travel really appeals to you today, especially if you don't have any holidays booked for the foreseeable future. So be careful if you're out shopping and you happen to walk past a travel agent's, because almost before you know it you could be sitting in there waving your credit card around and consulting your diary for the best day to take off for the wide blue yonder.
