i think it is about time that they give star work to taxi service , cdta could never run it the way it suppose to be run, they have hired 100's of employees, for star, dispatchers and the drivers , were a mess, taxi's are doing a better job right now and they have only been doing it for a few years, cdta tried for over 20 years, customers always late, buses always breaking down, drivers lost, dispatchers dont know what they were doing, and how many people did they have in there running things? six that i know of, i only been with the company 15 years,, and its about time they gave it to someone who knows about transportation.

You dont know what you are talking about. The taxi drivers aren't drug tested, no background checks..nothing that is supposed to be done is being done there. Again..it starts with Management. Don't blame the dispatchers or bus drivers because it was managed wrong..blame the managers!! YOUR MANAGER IS SUPPOSED TO KNOW ABOUT TRANSPORTATION!!!

you just have it in for someone -- you are always blaming the managers-- did you get fired from cdta? they all dont know what they are doing when it comes to star,, how many crack heads work at cdta?- drunks? i know quite a few who have lost there jobs because of drugs,, taxi company is doing a good job , when they take it completely over, they will have a good bunch of drivers, give them time to work things ot, and you keep holding your grudge against management, your own fault,, there will be alot more job given away to other company ,

No..actually I work there. I probably see you every day. You might be a crackhead though..How about this..since you know soooo much...well..you must not care about your co-workers since they are losing their jobs because of all this crap happening..the taxi company doesn't even drug test their employees.. speaking of crackheads..wait till they get sued..if you work for CDTA then you know how hard the drivers DO work..Not ALL of them..but a majority..poop rolls downhill...its MANAGEMENTS fault!!

i am glad the taxi's are getting all that work, the members agreed to it, they voted for it,, system one never like anyone in star , didnt care about star , and still dont,, but , i see that some of system one's work is being done by other company's--, and that s not where it will stop, route 50- i can see being taken over by another company -- the 90 may even be gone also,,the rural route gone, so i guess you are right shit does roll down hill , system one voted to give work away, they are going to give system one's work away, what union gives jobs away? they dislike star so much they were willing to give another company union jobs,,-what goes around comes around,, lol, and you should not talk about another person like that , maybe you two should take some of the courses cdta offers to people like you

The problem with the union is about 90% of the members are only worried about their own jobs and not as a union. Members don't show to union meetings unless they have their own grievance, otherwise they don't go. If every member pulled together as one, they wouldn't of voted for contracting jobs out. 175 members showed for this past meeting cause steve green stole from our pensions, but 6 months ago only 10 people attended the union meeting, and 6 months from now, only 10 people will probably attend. Union morale is very low and carm knows it and took advantage of it by offering a lousy contract extension. The clause to allow people to be paid sick time on days booked off is what passed the contract, and carm was able to sneak crappy clauses like contracting out star jobs and clause to charge new members 25% healthcare costs. Why? Because existing members didn't care for the the other guy. Star or new member. Like i said, we aren't united. And till we do, Carm and cdta will keep taking advantage of that. Plus didn't help having a corrupt business agent who was in cahoots with Carm.

And as far as advantage is concerned, there is a constant flow of complaints coming in. Cdta supervisors have been constantly been catching them driving dangerously. One driver cut an offduty supervisor off then gave him the finger. Of course he was reported. But hey, if cdta wants their name on that kind of driver, then they are kinda digging their own grave. Cdta drivers when they start, have to go threw a 6 week training period, random drug tests, yearly refresher courses, and 19a physicals, written and road tests. But if you prefer flyby nite drivers who require nothing a a license, it won't be long if there will be a major accident or incident by advantage and will have cdta's name dragged threw the mud. You get what you pay for. Cheap drivers equal dangerous drivers. Just a matter of time.

Everything you say is the God's honest truth. It's too bad we can't unite. Everyone is so fearful of their job that no one will speak up. This kind of crap would never happen in a Union shop like Verizon.

Our union is the way it is because our members. They don't show up and complain why things don't get done. Now Steve green is gone we should open our eyes and be more involved in our union. Next meeting should be good so we can see how much Steve stole and move on and get stronger .

- CDTA is an organized mafia--no one can touch them,, whatever the cab company does , accidents , complaints, it dont matter-- they will get out of it, just like they will get out of this big investigation, thats going on right now-- dont you think CDTA is in cahoots with steve green? of course they are ,, CDTA will not be touched, they do what they want, with our customers, and there employees, customers have no choice and either do the employees, who here dont think CDTA isn't taken kick backs , stealing govt. money,, who will investigate CDTA?-- NO ONE.
