I wonder when someone is going to finally crackdown on CTDA's corruption. We all know who is on the take over there. They are getting paid off by Advantage taxi service. Running less buses so taxi's can be used to make the taxi company more money=$$$$ PAYOFF. We know who you are and we know that you are running checks thru your wives bank accounts. YOU WILL BE EXPOSED! Carm knows about this too and has done NOTHING about it. Isn't that wonderful? Even the Union President consults for Advantage. No conflict of interest there huh? Lousy treatment of employees= exposure. Wonder what will happen once "you know who" finds out and your funding is cut off!!!

That head monkey they have in charge Gary Guy is the biggest problem of all. When they get rid of him more drivers will sign up. Everyone knows what a scumbag he is. No one likes him. He thinks he is a big shot with his little salary. He screws all the girls in the office too..little does his wife know.

This all just sounds like moaning and bitching from dudes who got canned.

Seriously, I want to hear REAL scandal...otherwise, shut the hell up. I want to hear who stole what from who and how much. I want to know when it happened, and who knew about it.

Otherwise, you're all just pussyin' around.

How much clearer does it need to be. CDTA Management is taking kickbacks from the taxi company. The President of the Union is even a consultant for the taxi company. No conflict there?? It's supposed to be a big secret that everyone knows. That is why trips go to the taxi's when they could be using their own buses. It's very corrupt and blowing taxpayers money.

Well, first you need proof... As in documentation. You cannot simply say that someone is guilty because "it's obvious".

Where is your proof?

I work for them and much of this is true. People are hard working there but Upper Management sucks. There are people that have been put in positions and nobody knows why. I wouldn't doubt there are people getting paid on the side. I know this. Our Union sucks big time. We pay them for nothing.

You want to know what killed the unions in this country? It was people like you who don't know when you've got a good thing.

You drive a bus for a living; you're not neurosurgeons, so get over yourselves. You're lucky to have jobs at all in this economy, especially jobs with benefits.

Someday you're going to wake up to find that your union is gone, and that management got sick of your bellyaching and contracted out your jobs to a third party HR provider, ala the U.S. air traffic controllers and Detroit autoworkers. These groups believed their own press about how valuable they were. Face it, if your job can be taught to the average person in less than a month, you're not doing anything special enough to give you job-security.

Here's how you know when your job is REALLY bad: When you're willing to quit. Until that day, get off your pity pot and be thankful you've got someplace to work.

Excuse me BIG MOUTH but I was a Union Steward for 15 years at a former comapany. I know the value of a GOOD union. This one is crap. I do this because I am retired. If you read the other comments, its not so much the Union and it is the Management. Our Union is just too weak to stand up to Management here.

Why did my union dues go to a particular party?
Companies go under because they cannot meet union
demands. It's almost impossible to fire a bad egg.
While Can't take it may not be a neurosurgeon he is responsible for passenger safety in spite of
crappy me-first drivers.
It may take a month to train a driver for WCTI's
job how long will it take you not to insult a person's dignity.

You may know the value of a good union to the rank-and-file, but not to the business itself; that's why unions are dying left and right, because the membership never understood that it can't be all take and no give. You simply can't bleed a company to death and expect it to be around to hire your kids.

I grew up in a union house, with the "don't kill the job" and "don't give 'em a minute more than you're paid for" philosophies. You know what that mentality accomplished? It killed off opportunities for their kids.

If your union is weak, its either because you don't have a hand to play with, or you're playing it wrong. Let's face it, you may bitch about the salary, but in this economy, there are plenty of people who'll gladly train and drive for sixty grand plus benefits.

Do you know what the average person thinks when they see a bunch of fat dudes on the evening news marching around giant inflatable rat?

Unions are a good thing if they're run responsibly and not just with the "give me more, more, more" mentality...that only works for children and the IRS.

Good comments here. Growing up
I got the opinion there was such a separation between management
and the union because I heard it. And yes you don't give them
one minute more. On the last job I had I would work off the clock
to finish a project. It was pride in my work I wanted to make
my boss look good...but then we had a good boss who let us work
in a relaxed atmosphere Our boss had our backs.

This just in..Union President /Business Agent Brian Green has been caught red handed stealing pension money from CDTA employees and has since resigned within the last few days. There is an ongoing investigation into this matter.
