Ex-USSR countries need to join EU, and EU to become common country(not simply coalition of nation-countries).

Visa need to abolish direct.

The article states that they would be able to travel within a 30-50km zonw within the Poland and Lithuania. How do they propose to implement that?
This will be an easy way for Russians to gain access to the EU.

I think just scrapping the visas for Russians would be the best solutions. If they are feared that in this case Ukrainians will get same access (because of no visas between Russia and Ukraine), we can return the visa regime for Ukraine.

Presumably they will need to show their passports at the border, so only those with Russian passports will be admitted.

That would be an economic disaster for the EU. It will not happen. You only need to look at the U.S./ Mexican border to see what happens when a third world country borders a first world country (even with tight border controls in place).

The gross national income (per capita) of Russia is less than half of Mexico or Poland. It is also less than Turkey (the EU has refused Turkey EU membership for this very reason).

It is one thing to allow access to the small populations of the Baltic nations, other small eastern European nations, or even Poland (38 million). It is quite another to allow unfettered access by 80 million (Turkey) or 140 million (Russia) potential job and welfare benefit seekers, with far smaller incomes.

As long as Russia remains at a vast economic disparity from the West, the EU will require both visa and border controls unless it wishes to risk economic suicide and the existence of its beloved social welfare state.

You have it exactly backwards. For the Euro to survice, the EU must unload Greece and other economic misfits. Germany will not self-destruct to save zombie nations.

Every human organization needs A class members , B class members and C class members and D class members. Greece is now in the C class going down to D class in the EU. New members to C and D classes are actually necessary , from an economic point of view. For some to win economically , others must lose. It is the law of life and economics and countries.
