Wrong as usual byzantine !!!!

The abolition of the monarchy in Spain in 1932 brought unstable governments, a bloody civil war that lasted 4 years and cost 1.5 millions lives and 40 years of dictatorship with more repression.

Since the monarchy has been reinstated, Spain has stable and democratic governments.

Go figure !!!

I don't think so.

If you are refering to the 1789 French Revolution, it was followed by 15 years of political convulsion with the Terror, the Convention, the Directoire, the Consulate and finally Bonaparte usurping the power and proclaiming itself Emperor - dictator in fact.

The Empire was followed by 2 restorations, the return of monarchy, another failed revolution (1830) resulting in yet another monarchy that, in turn failed (1848).
The following republic caused by the third revolution brought a republic (1948)- at last-, but the president made himself emperor (1952)!

France followed a disastrous policy causing its defeat in the hands of Germany in 1870. But even after that, France couldn't make up its mind if it wanted a monarchy or a republic.

So, France choice was never clear-cut

St. Augustine elected officials are iniviting this "couple" to Florida for a celebration in 2013 at taxpayer expense. Our officials act as though they are kings and queens when it comes to spending tax dollars. King Carlos do the right thing and stay in Spain.

The abolition of the monarchy in The country in 1932 introduced volatile government authorities, a weakling municipal war that survived 4 decades and price 1.5 large numbers life and 40 decades of dictatorship with more repression
