WestJet eyes starting new regional airline
WestJet CEO Gregg Saretsky has announced that WestJet is considering launching a regional short-haul airline as early as 2013.

Ah this is just great for the crews at WestJet.
They will grow the new WestJet
"Lite Division" and all the crews at the bottom of the WestJet mainline division will stagnate an continue working weekend, evenings, and holidays, along with the worst trip pairings while growth is fostered at the regional.
Perhaps even WestJet "Lite Division" can even take over some of the WestJet mainline flying and create layoffs for these employees.
