To you, they may be some of the oldest a/c that CAL has. But, you apparently haven't had the pleasure of riding any of UAL's very old, non-refurbished equipment. You should be happy that CAL continues to modernize even their oldest a/c. New interiors on the way too will make a huge improvement. And, certainly fuel-efficiency enhancements is something that UAL's equipment needs badly. If you want to relive the 1970's, just step aboard one of UA's 767's. You can barely get a pillow up in their overhead bins.

Continental DOES NOT have 767-300s. Those are United birds...just like the article says.

II hope that while the United Pterodactyls are in the shop, they also install GPS and update the rest of the software to bring them up to the level of CAL trans-Atlantic aircraft.
