So how many Tupolevs will they need to crash into the birch trees... before they figure out that is a bad landing strategy?

Maybe someone should explain to them what runways are for.

Using your logic: Maybe someone should explain Americans that river Hudson isn't a runway. But that could prove impossible-they couldn't even figure out when Sacha Coren was making idiots out of them.

Yes that's the right thing to point out. Also: Russian airtower consulted gen. mjr Wladimir Benediktov in Moscow right before the crash. The question is: What on Earth has gen. Benediktov had to do with that. Why was he decisive if he wasn't present in Smolensk at all?
