Bill Cosby has done a lot of good on TV. He was the first black star of an action TV series...on equal footing with his co-star Robt Culp. He starred in and managed a number of programs in which he was dedicated to upgrading the image of black people on TV.

If you don't like his politics, fine, but let's not pretend he's some self-hating white ass-kissing Clarence Thomas, because he is not.

A younger person of whom I'd say the same is Will Smith. If you watch episodes of Fresh Prince, you see that he is also addressing issues of image and so forth.

Will Smith in that show unfortunately engages in a lot of white-bashing, which Cosby never did.

Will Smith was not a writer for the show. The writers of the show (I bet they were White) wrote those lines for Will so say so he was not engaging in the so called bashing of Whites. You need to place that blame on NBC and its White writers.

The truth is the hardest pill to swallow! Bill Cosby is a hypocrite - he should know his words are only being used to justify indifference. Bill Cosby did everything under the sun - now he is "holier than thou!" He has allegations out there about serious crimes, other shortcomings - why is this so unbelievable?

Hollywood thinks it's cute to make such comments...

The result is negative, it only pisses off some whites and makes them think that blacks hate them...and on it goes...

This is but one example of where Hollywood really needs to check itself...

Don't like what he has to say? He hasnt done enough? What the hell have you done? You one of those people that expects everything to be given to you? Say what you want to about Cosby, he worked his ass off, didnt make excuses and made it to the top. He expects others to quit crying and expecting handouts, and try to get an education, speak proper english, and he is criticized for that? Maybe if a lot of young kids, white and black, white kids these days are just as stupid, would listen to him, and stay in school, and not go around knocking up random women, and actually try to be something successsful, he wouldnt have to go around giving speeches. Only in America can a guy be criticized for expecting accountability. Thats whats wrong with this country, if you screw something up, point the finger at everyone else, and make excuses. I understand why you do not care? By the way, "let me make myself clear," the reason why the story is news worthy is because of the positions Cosby has taken publicly. This story shows Cosby is hypocritical. Therefore, as you would type, if a "socalled think" posts comments like yourself, I know you are not built right. Therefore, though I do not you personally, I would assume no one is going to go to you for help? Rather young or old, based on your comments, you are not able to assist. Based off your comments, you would want to look for reasons to white ball someone. Guess what: you have every right too. Whoa - read your post. What is different than you and most Caucasian Americans? "I make 85,000 as a sytems programmer,...no amount of ass kissing will get you a job," - are you serious. First, you are critical of your own - then you are boasting and swearing? Listen, Mr. Funkadelis, if we (I hope you care - Baltimore needs help.) are to improve our communities, sometimes you may have to teach younger brothers the rope. Little man, this is not correct. You should not do it like this; do it like this. Be careful of that man, he looks for reasons to fire our people. It is what we lack, explanation. Invest some time into the youngster and if he is respectful, teach him the ropes. Instead of white balling someone - ask yourself how you were at his age. How did you get the "85,000," and show the youngster how to get the $150,000 if he listens - challenges myself. Stop being defensive and just admit - you were wrong.
