Katherine could give him some of her stipend. The court should not give Joe money. That would set precedence for multiple entities who can claim they too were dependent upon the deceased to show up and get on MJ's paps yet again.

It would also break law in that no court can pick beneficiaries for somebody after the person has written a legal will which included his natural heirs already.

This is of course disgusting but interseting to watch.

there isn't any money , as Whacko died over $400,000,000 in debt. The courts and the executors can divert some of the income to beneficiaries, but the rest must go to pay the creditors off, and that could take 100 years.

What's your point in the matter of Joe's stipend?

People like you are why law is such a lucrative career. Your point about MJ's creditors is IRRELEVANT to whether Joe can be included as MJ's beneficiary after MJ's lawful will has already been probated.

Now that I've cleared that up for you, speak. I'm all ears.

You have a valid point and 'tis your point of view.

However, I think it might shed light to look from another angle. Joe and Katherine were born in a different time when American culture was a certain way and certain things were acceptable. They grew up in the great depression and the confrontational times before WWII. I mean they grew up before civil rights and desegregation. Joe feels entitled to the money and so does Katherine. Responsibility to fund one's own retirement is a relatively novel idea. Before the notion was one's children owed it to one to do so.

MJ was also born in a different time and he was a man of his time in some of his provincial notions about gender roles. He broke away from such thinking in many but not all ways, see.

I said all that to lead up to the fact that his parents saw nothing wrong with putting their children into child labor to make money for them because in their minds, they owned their kids like people own chattel. That's the notion people of those times held. Hence, the screaming and the beating MJ endured. He was just his parents' performing animal so to speak. He could not have friends or a normal course of life as it would have gooten in the way of him performing to enrich his parents' interests.

He knew this and could never quite accept it. He always wanted it to mean he was loved for himself. I saw no evidence to support his wishful thinking. He could not face his parents' feet of clay, especially katherine's. I don't blame him. I would not want to face that either.'Tis not pretty. He became a role and a product to everybody but a few such as Elizabeth.

As such, there was a fight for control over MJ who was the goose laying the golden egg all his life. His father fought to control him with companies. Corporations fought to control him as you probably heard in his fight with SONY in 01. MJ tried to wrestle his freedom from all these entities and never could quite. When he tried to break free, he found himself with negative press about how eccentric and crazy he was. If he remained under the beck and call of corporations which raked in the dough from his work, he got all kinds of promotions and positive press. He was the golden boy again issued forth to enrich people when he was going on the This is it tour. Before that, he was the devil's spawn.

'Tis about the money and various entities all displaying entitlement to it.

Joe Jackson receives $1700 a month off social security.
He does not have a regular or steady source of income, and he was dependent upon the money provided by his son, Michael Jackson, through his wife, Katherine Jackson, for his support," the filing stated.
The latest court documents said Joe Jackson receives a US$1,700 (RM5,780) monthly Social Security payment and had relied on his son for support for many years.

"He does not have a regular or steady source of income, and he was dependent upon the money provided by his son, Michael Jackson, through his wife, Katherine Jackson, for his support," the filing stated.

"It was quite surprising to learn of the request," Howard Weitzman, an attorney for the administrators of Jackson's estate, said in a statement. "Mr. Jackson's petition will be considered as are all requests for money from Michael's estate."

Joe Jackson suffers from diabetes and had a stroke in 1998, the filing stated.

A former steelworker, he managed and trained his children and organized the Jackson 5. He has been married to Katherine Jackson for 50 years, but he lists his home in Las Vegas. She lives at a family home in the San Fernando Valley north of Los Angeles.

The filings are inconsistent in several places, listing Joe Jackson's age as 80 in one place and 81 in another. A declaration states his monthly expenses exceed US$20,000 (RM68,000) a month, but an itemized list only includes slightly more than US$15,000 (RM51,000).

That list includes US$1,200 (RM4,080) a month on rent for his Las Vegas home; US$2,500 (RM8,500) to eat out; US$1,000 (RM3,400) on entertainment, gifts and vacations; US$2,000 (RM6,800) on air travel and US$3,000 (RM10,200) on hotels.

This old fart has been living above his means for years..like the rest of the Jacksons. Think most of them depended on MJ for support at one time or another.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aries

Don't get embroiled in a bad-tempered skirmish today, for it might turn into more than that if you aren't careful. Everyone seems to be ratty and argumentative, but once you let the first spat take place it's effectively declaring open season. Even though things seem out-of-joint, keep your lines of communication open.
