Aretha Franklin makes PETA's worst-dressed list

Leave Aretha alone. Since she is as big as a hippo, she deserves some R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

PETA is a bunch of morons.

I love it. I want to make PETA's worst dressed list too.

|
Aretha, don't take their insults personal.
|

I wear mine proudly. Heck, I put my first fur on layaway! That's right. Layaway. I love that fur.

Who gives a crap what PETA thinks. They kill 10's of thousands of animals every year and toss them in the dumpster and then condemn the rest of the world.
F*** PETA. |

Yeah, I agree. She earned it big time. First Lady of Soul, wear it proud. Bring back fur coats. Animal rights people are just jealous. LOL!
|
|
Leave the queen of soul alone. She has worked hard and if she makes the choice to wear a fur it is her CHOICE. We have some real issues going on in this world. PETA betta calm down before Aretha wear them at her next outing.
LOL LOL LOL |

PITA Too ridiculous!!! Worry about your own families and friends where you can maybe make a difference. LEAVE THE REST OF US ALONE!!!!

Wearing fur is ok unless the animal was killed for it.

Aretha can't even sing she just screeches and fur belongs on animals not people.

You obviously know nothing about music or Aretha Franklin. She hardly "screeches" and is revered around the world for her contrubtion to R&B music. And furs have been used by people for millions of years long before PETA ever showed up. |
|
There is no need to wear fur now this is the 21st century, not millions of years ago.
And I do know alot about music I prefer people who sing properly not those who screech. |

I own two furs. They are warmest coats that I have and they look so good. I look forward to the day when I can buy another. Aretha has never screeched. You must be tone deaf. |

It's appalling to see these "stars" still wearing fur, after they've repeatedly been made aware of the ethical problems associated with it.
China is the world 's largest exporter of fur clothing to the US and dog and cat fur is deliberately mislabeled as fur from other species so that it can be sold to unsuspecting Americans. This is the same China who cut safety corners to sell us contaminated pet food, toxic lead-based-painted toys, anti-freeze in toothpaste, melamine in flour, toxic seafood, etc. and they're also selling us fur from animals that have been skinned alive (less costly you know). This is not an issue that concerns only animal rights advocates. Everyone from Martha Stewart to Paul McCartney has denounced fur. Anyone considering wearing fur has a moral obligation to seek out information about the "production" process and view the videos before falling for the advertising hype urging them to buy it. Even if we put aside the ethical problems, these women look terrible. There is nothing stsylish about fur...old grannies wear fur. In January, Swiss Animal Protection released their findings on the Fur Industry in this very interesting video: http://tinyurl.com/ag3jh |

These women look terrible. I remember my aunts and grandmother with the fox "stoles" that wrapped around their necks and the fox teeth were made into a clamp to hold it all on. How ghoulish! There is nothing stylish about fur...old grannies wear fur.

It looks Aretha ate the animal she got her fur from. I'm glad Oprah doesn't wear fur. Just think of all of the poor animals that would suffer. |
|
|
Wearing fur is a personal choice. There are some women who can look great and then there are those who look like they're carting a dead animal around. I don't understand the public censure about fur wearing. It is a private choice. There are too many other issues in today's world that warrant a lot more concern. Would I wear fur? Probably not. It's no one's business but my own. Why they constantly make Aretha Franklin the poster child on this issue is lame.

When you are "repreatedly been made aware of the ethical problems associated " with fur by an organization such as PETA, it means absolutely nothing. This loonie, hypocritical, terrorist organization kills tens of thousands of "poor defenseless animals" every yaer. For them to even bring up the subject of cruelty to animals is a complete farce. |

Thank you. Someone with common sense finally. It's a personal choice as is most everything in life. Live and let live for gawds sake. We'll all be gone soon enough and is it really going to matter who wore fur or who didn't? |
