While I LOVE WHoopi, I was disappointed that she decided to endorse SlimFast. Dieting changes one's metabolism to make it better at storing fat. A celebrity who endorses a diet product is in it for the money against the public interest. As far as talk radio, I simply can't stand it. All media is about spinning the truth to manipulate the public. Turn it off!

I am sooooo glad Melissa Forman will be back. That first Monday I heard Whoopi Goldberg instead of Melissa way back when I was upset. Whoopi is a good actress and comedian but frankly she is not a good radio personality. I gave her a chance still listening to WLIT (which has been my all-time favorite radio station) but she still wasn't that good. I think that Cubby guy is good (you could tell he's more professional) but I've noticed Whoopi making mistakes along the way like continuously rambling on and not giving very good interviews. She talks constantly about nonsensical stuff, going off tangent. Like I said, she's a good actress but...I am very happy Melissa will be back. She was always the calm before the storm, the first person I'd like to hear when I wake up. Her voice and demeanor has a calming relaxing effect. Thank you WLIT for making this radio station back to my favorite again.

I'm glad Chicago's own Melissa Forman will be back. Now they can start talking about local stuff again instead of Whoopi talking about NY stuff that we Chicagoans have no idea what she's talking about. Which by the way, she does gab on and on about who cares what. although I did like the kiddie jokes and cubby was okay. thanks to wlit.=)

I was very upset when the put Whoopie on. I ended going to US 99.. I am soo happy the Melissa will be back. Its nice to see management learning a lesson. I love Lisa and Ray in the morning on US99. But I also loved Melissa...what to do now???

Just another example of an all-powerful exec who thinks he's smarter than the audience. At least he wised up and finally listened, but the damage from a ratings and PR standpoint warrants his firing.

I liked Whoopi ! I never really listened WLIT before - and one day I came across Whoopi and her morning talk show and loved it. She's on the View now anyway - not sure if she is still doing radio in NY or trying to do it all - radio and TV. I'll give Mellissa a listen. Does she talk a lot (which I like in the morning) or does she just spin records.

Doesn't matter to me, I didn't listen to Melissa or Whoppi. I don't care for any of the morning shows in Chicago, since Doug Banks left nothing has been the same. Thank God for XM radio!!!

We are forced to listen to the lite at work. I liked it when Melissa was on. I cant remember what station she used to be on before but she was good there too. I am glad she is back. Whoopi is loud and obnoxious. Let the view have her.

The morning show with Whoopi was an awful thing to listen to; full of trite babble. I stopped tuning in WLIT until after the "Whoopi Show" went off at 9:00. Welcome back Melissa!
