There where hardly any Somalians and Ethiopians that were captured and if they were they were sent to other regions of the world. The majority of African Americans come from west Africa and your diversity of looks is attributed through years of mixing with all various ethnicities from Europeans to Native Americans etc.
Do you think Europeans would ever conquer the ancient cushites and their people? They went into the belly of Africa to reek their havoc. Not East Africa. Would they dare!!!!!

I think that East africans had some form of slavery too, but it wasnt involving the Atlantic slave trade, but many were sent to other countries I think. Yes, we have nothing to do with East Africans, except that we shared the continent of africa with them, which make them our brotha and sistas.

Why do African Americans think their the descendants of Somalians, Ethiopians, Moors and Ancient Egyptians. The majority of slaves came from West Africa so what is the fascination with these particular countries and their culture. I mean African Americans are diverse just like Africans but you have a range of phenotypes due to mixing with many people in the countries you have resided in for centuries. You hardly here anything about western african nations on these boards. Is there a reason?
Good, they need to be reminded everyday if need be, they hate their West and Central African skin and features so much that they have been found making claims about all those countries and were elbowed just as they were trying to claim South Africa.

Even in East Africa, they never claim to have originated from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, its always Somalia and Ethiopea.

The reason they hardly create threads or mention West and Central Africa is that they hate the place and..., they hate and fear West Africans especially Nigerians, they fear Nigerian and are looking for what they think are soft targets. They wanted to believe that they can claim the whole continent and that all Africans would fall for that, we are not going to have black Americans spitting on our history and heritage by telling us that our forefathers sold them to slavery when that is the farthest thing from the truth.

Why dont you same the same about your blood relatives from West and Central Africa? Why is it so easy to say that about people who have no relations with you?

When did you share the continent with East Africans? Have you ever been to Africa? Have you lived there? If not how do you share a continent you've never visited / lived in?

Have you asked Africans about slavery? I dont think so and the reason for that is that you dont want to hear the truth.

You are not going to teach East Africans about their history when you are yet to learn yours. Those people have nothing to prove to you get that through your head. I know where the poster who started this thread is coming from, it is disgusting to have descendants of West African slaves imposing themselves on people who have nothing to do with you.

Making a statement has nothing to do with obsession, your late in the conversation. My statement meant that we black americans know that we have nothing to do with East Africans, at least the educated ones do.

I asked my friend. My south african one told me we were sold. Many of our African ancestors were captives of wars, many were also traded for by Africans with Europeans for material goods, and some were kidnaped and sold to whites by the Arabs, this is what my Nigerian friend told me. He also said that when we were sold to whites, that the african people thought we were be brought back, that part was a lie, but that is what my igbo friend said. Personally, I dont think a group of men can come just take men out of villages, the Africans played a huge part in selling us, the West Africans.

Which cuntries are they from and why do black Americans hardly create threads about Central and West Africa and keep those alive for some time. I dont see you as African because I dont see Africans spitting on their ancestry and making false claims about belonging in other regions. Here East, Central, Southern, North and West Africans know where they belong. Your people have made great strides in the US good for you, dont walk around trampling on other people's history and heritage and thinking that you can tell them a thing or two about their history which you believe has something to do with slavery. Not every African country owes answers, explanation, reparations, etc you if you think you are owed something. Dont think you can come here and claim to belong in every acre of Africa and that every African is your brother or sister when you sneer at your blood brothers and sisters from Central and West Africa.

Of course you were sold because you were criminals and other social misfits. You were not sold by South Africans, no amount of lying is going to change the fact that theres no connection between negroes and black SA.

There were black people already in this country before it became officially "The U.S." so not all black people over here decend from West African Slaves
