Aug 24, 2010 ... Dumb things Americans believe.... America the Ignorant. More Galleries. EMAIL. Silly Things We Believe About Witches, Obama, and More.

Chances are that by now you've heard about the Aug. 19, 2010, Pew poll that found that nearly one fifth of Americans (mistakenly) believe that President Obama is a Muslim. Perhaps you think that a terrifying outlier; or perhaps you're a believer, and then you are in good company. Either way, you're wrong: in fact, remarkably high numbers of Americans believe the most unusual things. Although the portion of poll respondents who believe Obama is a Muslim has risen recently, some of these oddball opinions contain more consistent numbers of believers. Here's a sampling of the nutties

When NEWSWEEK recently asked 1,000 U.S. citizens to take America's official citizenship test, 29 percent couldn't name the vice president.

He did murder Trayvon. Pretty much 100% of the people believe that. The argument on whether or not he had the right too is in dispute.

Ummm... No one has a right to murder someone else. The purpose of the trial is to see if there is enough evidence to convict him of murder. In the words of Rachel Jeantel. UN DER STAN Sir?

I think America is definitely full of a bunch of gullible people and thanks to our education system it's going to stay that way. People in this country strive to be ignorant, instead of educating themselves on simple things in better understanding people. We all cry for equality, yet embraces a society not in favor of us. The media holds all the power and everyone knows that no matter what they argue celebrities included. Asian try to fix their eyes to be white, while using bleaching cream, all over the world bleaching cream is sold and used by all races with dark skin from Africans to Indians and Caribbeans.I think things would change if people were better educated I know blacks that only voted for Obama because he was black (Now mind you I'm young and so are my peers) whites that didn't vote for him because he was black and many people reacting to things because of race whwn it's only a circumstance to the environment, we are a human race, but of course ignorance will prevail and we will continue the race war, when we can focus on real problems in the world

In the words of Rachel Jeantel..'That's real retarded sir'!

There are no "lawful murders" There are however there are Justifiable homicides.

Murder:
n. the killing of a human being by a sane person, with intent, malice aforethought (prior intention to kill the particular victim or anyone who gets in the way) and with no legal excuse or authority.

Justifiable homicide:
n. a killing without evil or criminal intent, for which there can be no blame, such as self-defense to protect oneself or to protect another, or the shooting by a law enforcement officer in fulfilling his/her duties.

Dude are you serious? He admitted to killing the child. That is murder. The trial is over whether or not it was justifiable. The Juror is going to decide. So back to the main point. 100% of Americans think he killed him because he did. Thanks.

No we don't think he murdered Martin, but we know he killed him. Two different things. He did not wake up that morning planning a murder nor when he saw Martin did he plan a murder. Nor did he plan on getting a BM specifically.

Murder is the unlawful killing, with malice aforethought, of another human, and generally this premeditated state of mind distinguishes murder from other forms of unlawful homicide (such as manslaughter).

If he had the right, it's "justifiable homicide", not murder.

The only place "100% believe it was murder",
...is where there aren't any high school diplomas among the group.
