We don't know the truth about the 3,000 dead in 9/11/2001 attacks and 4,000 dead American soldiers in the illegal Iraq war either. But I never hear the retards of the republican party whine about that like they cry about 4 dead in Benghazi.

Republicans voted against additional funding for embassy security when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton requested it:

LYNCH: When Secretary Clinton and the State Department asked for additional funding for embassy security,[Republicans] all voted no. They all voted no.

WALLACE: We’re getting a little bit off track now. I understand there’s an issue about security. It’s a little bit off the track. I want to stay on course here –

LYNCH: No, this is the point. They’re complaining about a lack of security at the embassies after they voted against funding for security at the embassies. Is that not related?

The out-of-control Republicans went after Bill Clinton in unreasonable ways, constantly caterwauling about Bill and Hillary both, but with Obama it has greatly increased. They refuse to do anything Obama wants, even if they agree with it. They accuse him of every imaginable fault, no matter how ridiculous.

And what is it about Obama that's different from Clinton? Hmmm, let's see, he's from Chicago? No...

Oh yeah, he's black.

Great Post Sir!

It's also funny that republicans whine about Obama, "Using the dead children" from sandy Hook to push gun control, and yet they turn right around and use the 4 dead from Benghazi Embassy to push their hate for Obama and to lay the groundwork for a defeat of Hillary in 2016. That's all this Benghazi mess is about. NOTHING ELSE. but I know you already know that.

Yes, amazingly, it has nothing to do with any way the 4 deaths could have been prevented, as there was no way to do that, it's all about how soon Obama or Rice said “terror” LOL!!! as if that matters. Hillary was right when she said in exasperration,“What does it matter now?”

I think the USA people have finally awaked from their stupor and are increasingly perceiving just how despicable the GOP really is.

You know why I don't give a flip about the Benghazi hearings? Because the same GOP clowns holding this sham of a hearing on Benghazi are the same clowns that desperately fought against the 9/11/2001 commission. If we were under a Republican president when Benghazi occurred, there would be no Benghazi hearings right now.
Faulty intelligence after Benghazi? Maybe. But there was a sh!tload of faulty intelligence before the invasion of Iraq. Where is the outrage by the Republicans on that?
Not enough security at the Benghazi Embassy? That's Obama's and Clinton's fault, right? Well that's not exactly correct as we know the GOP slashed the 2012 budget for Embassy security by 331 MILLION dollars. When Rep. Jason Chaffetz was asked about this, his answer was, "You Have To Prioritize Things". So the GOP prioritized the lives of 4 Embassy workers in Benghazi, to save some money.
So F K this sham of a hearing. It's all political.

Obama Administration blocked rescue effort while Benghazi burned, Congress told

"Here's a good summation of yesterday's bombshells:

While US diplomats were pulling bodies from a burning Libyan consulate and frantically smashing up hard drives last 11 September, their superiors blocked rescue efforts and later attempted to cover up security failings, according to damaging new evidence that may yet hurt Hillary Clinton's presidential hopes.

In vivid testimony to Congress on Wednesday, Gregory Hicks, deputy to murdered US ambassador Christopher Stevens, revealed for the first time in public a detailed account of the desperate few hours after the terrorist attacks on the US consulate in Benghazi.

He also said that Stevens went to Benghazi to beat a 30 September deadline to convert the mission to a permanent posting. There was additional time pressure because Clinton planned to visit Libya later in the year and to announce the opening of the post, Hicks said.

But Hicks and two other state department witnesses also singled out the government response for criticism. Until now that criticism had been largely dismissed as a partisan effort by Republican congressman to smear former Clinton, who was secretary of state at the time.

Hicks claimed Clinton's chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, telephoned him to complain that he had given critical evidence to congressional investigators without the presence of a "minder" from the state department. "A phone call from that senior a person is generally considered not to be good news," said Hicks, who said he had since been demoted. "She was upset. She was very upset."

The career diplomat also alleged he was actively discouraged by officials from asking awkward questions about why other top Clinton aides, including the UN ambassador Susan Rice, initially blamed the attack on a spontaneous protest that got out of control. He described that briefing he described as "jaw-dropping, embarrassing and stunning". It is now thought the attacks, involving up to 60 heavily armed militia, were co-ordinated by Ansar al-Sharia, a group affiliated to al-Qaida, and timed to coincide with the 11th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington.

The allegations of a state department cover-up follow equally embarrassing claims that military leaders blocked efforts to dispatch special forces troops to the Benghazi consulate.

In testimony that first emerged on Monday, Hicks claims that four special forces soldiers with him in Tripoli were "furious" when they were told by superiors in Washington that they could not join a relief flight to Benghazi organised by the Libyan government in the hours after the initial attack.

Mark Thompson, a former marine who heads the foreign emergency support team, also alleged that the White House blocked his efforts to dispatch a specialist group from the US that is designed to respond to incidents such as the Benghazi attaack.

Hicks said he was told that US air force jets based in Italy could have reached the consulate in "two to three hours" but were blocked, out of fear of offending the Libyan government, and because a refuelling tanker could not be found.

Pentagon officials have repeatedly argued that none of the available military assets could have reached Benghazi in time to prevent the death of ambassador Stevens and three other consular staff. But Hicks insisted even if they had been too late, better attempts should have been made. "People in peril in future need to know that we will go to get them," he said. "That night we needed to demonstrate that resolve even if we still had the same outcome.""

Benghazi bombshells

5-9-13

"Stevens warned the State Department of a 'security vacuum' in Libya.' From June 2011 to July 2012, Eric Nordstrom, the regional security officer for Libya at the time, documented more than 200 security threats and violent incidents threatening to U.S. personnel in Libya. Some 50 of those incidents occurred in Benghazi.

They repeatedly asked for more security. Obama said no. Instead they farmed out security to a jihadist group. The State Department hired a group to defend its mission that openly displayed its admiration for al-Qaida.

Here are highlights from Brisitsh media who have given this the attention it so deserves. The radically partisan American Obamedia have been absent with the exception of FOX. This makes Watergate and Iran-Contra look like child's play.

• Gregory Hicks, former top deputy to Ambassador Christopher Stevens, gave a harrowing, dramatic account of the Benghazi attack. Hicks was in Tripoli the night of the attack. He was the last person to speak with Stevens on the phone. He said Stevens said the Benghazi mission was under attack but never mentioned a protest.

• Hicks testified that Obama administration statements that a protest had taken place damaged the diplomatic mission in Libya and hurt the Libyan president. One result, Hicks said, was that the FBI was shut out of Benghazi for 17-18 days, their investigation hampered. Hicks described his personal reaction to hearing UN Ambassador Susan Rice talk about a "protest" in Benghazi: "I was stunned. My jaw dropped. And I was embarrassed."

• Hicks testified that Cheryl Mills, chief of staff to then-secretary of state Hillary Clinton, called him and expressed her anger that he had met with a congressional fact-finding mission to Tripoli without a state department lawyer present. Hicks said he had never been allowed to read the classified state department report on the Benghazi attack.

• Hicks testified that he had been demoted "after I asked the question about Ambassador Rice's statement on the TV shows." "I've been effectively demoted from deputy chief of mission to desk officer," he said.

• Hicks testified that a group of four special forces troops was ready to travel on a Libyan plane from Tripoli to Benghazi after midnight, on the belief that the attack in Benghazi was ongoing. Hicks said it was his understanding that the regional defense command told the four men not to go. Hicks said he didn't know why the command was given.

Killed: Ambassador Christopher Stevens died following smoke inhalation, while agent Sean Smith died in a desperate battle.

Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods were killed in a mortar attack."

US Hired al-Qaida-Linked Group to Defend Benghazi Mission

5-3-13

"he Libyan militia group that the State Department hired to defend its embattled diplomatic mission in Benghazi had clear al-Qaida sympathies, and had prominently displayed the al-Qaida flag on a Facebook page some months before the deadly attack.

That organization, the February 17th Martyrs Brigade, was paid by the U.S. government to provide security at the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya. But there is no indication the Martyrs Brigade fulfilled its commitment to defend the mission on Sept. 11, when it came under attack.

The assault claimed the lives of four Americans: Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, information officer Sean Smith, and former Navy Seals Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty. Stevens was the first U.S. ambassador killed in the line of duty since 1979.

Several entries on the militia’s Facebook page openly profess sympathy for Ansar al-Sharia, the hardline Islamist extremist group widely blamed for the deadly attack on the mission. The State Department did not respond to a Newsmax request for an explanation as to why the February 17th Martyrs Brigade was hired to protect the mission.

On April 23, House Republicans released an interim progress report on their investigation into the Benghazi killings. It cited “numerous reports” that “the Brigade had extremist connections, and it had been implicated in the kidnapping of American citizens as well as in the threats against U.S. military assets.”

The report also stated that just a few days before Stevens arrived in Benghazi, the Martyrs Brigade informed State Department officials they no longer would provide security as members of the mission, including Stevens, traveled through the city.

From June 2011 to July 2012, Eric Nordstrom, the regional security officer for Libya at the time, documented more than 200 security threats and violent incidents threatening to U.S. personnel in Libya. Some 50 of those incidents occurred in Benghazi.

Yet despite those threats, repeated requests for additional security from the mission went unheeded by the State Department, for reasons that remain unclear.

Perhaps the biggest question is why the State Department would hire a group that openly displayed its admiration for al-Qaida, and ask it to participate in the defense of its diplomatic mission.

The banner, or “cover photo” of one of the group’s Facebook pages, shows an Islamic fighter, or mujahid, with a portable rocket launcher resting on his shoulder.

The distinctive black flag of al-Qaida can be seen fluttering to the man’s right, attached to the vehicle in which he is riding. The mujahid wears a headband based on the design of the al-Qaida flag. The flag in question features the shahada, or Islamic declaration of faith, and a white circle that is sometimes described as the “seal of Mohammed.”

The flag was made famous by the late Abu Musab al-Zarqawi’s Iraqi al-Qaida affiliate, commonly known as “al-Qaida in Iraq.” The flag originally used by al-Qaida was a plain black flag with the shahada written on it in white. Both flags are widely used by contemporary jihadist groups."
