Do you have anything good at all to say about black women? One---you're not black---stop pretending... Two--Don't get it twisted---many of us perm our hair to manage it, not to look like a white woman... Three---you weren't dating a black woman to begin with---and that's good!!! One less coon we have to worry about!!!

Why would you call someone a coon and you are black?? tsk tsk. And most black women do get perms to look more white. Don't lie to yourself. There are some that dont but alot want to look more "presentable to men", thinking that means straight hair. Sure if you want to change you hairstyle from straight to curly is fine, but for millions of women to do it permenantly is trying to be something your not. I used to have permed hair but I decided I want my natural hair since that is the way I was born, hair destroying chemicals are not worth having straight hair.

And that was YOUR choice with YOUR reasons----As I've stated, many of the black women I know perm their hair to MANAGE it, not to emulate whites...Yes..I perm mine, but trust, I do not want to look like no other race--I love my round butt, my fairly full lips,,,,and curvaceous build.....No one on earth can say that they don't alter some part of their being---simply applying make-up is altering, or "enhancing" the face isn't it? And yes, I called that "black person" a coon---the name only applies to the character of a person, not the race.....How could YOU say that MOST black women perm their hair to look white??? Did YOU conduct a census on this?

i stopped putting relaxers in my hair some time and my hair feels much more healthier. I don't think black women put relaxers in their hair to look white. Relaxers make our hair more manageable. What I do have problem with is black women that wear those blond and multicolored tracks. Now that could be defined as wanting to be white.

Im sorry, maybe it is a personal choice but at the same time you can buy things to make your hair more manageable rather than PERMANENTELY straightening it. Plus if you want to perm your hair, there are better ways to go around it than relaxers like that japanese thermal thingy. Plus if you braid your hair before going to bed, its much easy to comb through in the morning.

Well, I'm a white woman with the so-called "nappy-hair" that black woman have. Sometimes I'll spend $30+ to get my hair to have the conventional "flowing blonde" look. Are you gonna tell me to not hate my God-given hair texture, too?

I think that the black hair texture is a curse from God, to identify the descendants of eve. Eve was a black women. That is why we have the worst hair texter in the world. No one would choose nappy if they actually had a choice. I hate my naps.I would like to grow my hair long, but it won't grow past my shoulders. No other race of women have as much problems with their hair than the black women.

You hair may not grow, but my hair grows. Maybe you just don't know what how to condition your hair to make it healthy so it can grow. Every women in my family has long hair and if they don't, then it's because they cut it. Our hair grows long past our shoulders and we keep it up to make it be that way. I have always wondered if I had hair like the other races then would i be happier? After consideration,I realized no I wouldn't. I love my hair and I don't want to change it. I love its texture and the way I can style it with the braids and curls. It's so versatile and is very soft. I don't understand why we have allowed ourselves to hate what nature has given us and embrace our differences. It's a beautiful thing and we need to stop with all the chemicals and processing, that's what is preventing our hair from strengthening and growing to a satisfying length. Stop with all the ridiculous weaves and products that hide our joy. Don't allow society to influence our level of self-esteem and cause us to hate what makes us beautiful.

Good, I wouldn't recommend any woman to date someone who is soooooo damn immature, naive, suffering from a hold back of development and regain of consciousness. You got to be the biggest mentally challenged person to ever make a thread on Topix. Idiot, all ethnic groups of women go through the similar hair treatments (check out the celebrities), like it or not and what makes you think people are going to cater to your standards? These are women who make personal choices to do what ever they want with their hair, if you respect that then you might as well hit the road buddy, happy trails. How does that saying goes? Oh yeah ... and kick bricks.

I guess that would mean every race of women are insecure especially since almost all women get tans, breast implants, weaves, fake nails, fake lips, fake butts, fake eyeballs, and all sorts or garters and girdles. But theres nothing wrong with wanting what you feel is a natural black woman, but still it doesnt mean that us others are not real. Peace.

TROLL! TROLL! TROLL!!!!

DON'T FEED THE TROLL. He's started two other of these posts in the past week!!! He's obviously an imbecile. Don't fall for it. As soon as he gets a response that doesn't he have a valid argument or counter point for he starts a new thread.

Well that might have been the way you did it. I perm my hair to manage it. I dont perm my hair for anybody else but me. I dont perm it just so it looks like white people hair I perm mine because if I dont my hair gets hard to comb through and its just easier to comd through and sometimes it hekp my hair grow in better if its not all nappy at my roots. And most of the black people I know love being black and just gets perms to manage their hair to. You cant take it upon yourself to say most black women perm their hair to look more white because thats not true. Women just want their hair to be easier to control. Just because somebody wants to wear their hair a certain way that doesnt mean they are trying to be something they are not.

My hair is completely natural and lands in the middle of my back. All it takes is a blowdryer when I wash it. I guess your gonna say the blowdryer is evil too! Hey about this, you get extremely rich, buy all the weave and relaxer companies and blow them up! Until then shut up with the criticism.crazy bastard

everybody is weaving up their hair. the blk ppl just made it a billion dollar business. India and Asia are happy to sell us their hair. I really dont think blk woman are insecure. they just love style and whatever works for them. if they want to wear a weave so be it. If they wanna do braids so be it. men shouldnt be the ones to judge what women do to their hair. white woman and black women wear their weaves proud.
