I was supporting Sarodj because of her education, and having to witness the things that she did. Until I found out the pageant was rigged. YES, I still think that a beauty queen should represent the vast majority ESPECIALLY with blacks (that excludes significantly mixed countries like AMERICA. That is why I have no issue Halle Berry, or Vanessa Willaims winning a crown here). Knowing the history of our mental/physical slavery we should be saying that BLACK is beautiful since we have too many Europeanized black women being trotted around as "beautiful". Sadly blacks have not grown a backbone, and started supporting themselves to the fullest.
Wait! That issue is only minor, and I overlooked it for the sake of Haiti. Now, let's get to the REAL problem which you, and many other people glossed over.
1.) Her father threw the pageant and also was the translator. That my friend does not happen in any LEGIT contest. That is called conflict of interest. Her father IS going to favor her.
2.) She left Haiti when she was 4. I didn't know this was a Miss Haitian Diaspora contest. If it was then why wasn't any other Haitian women invited?
3.) Haitian girls were not OPENLY invited to compete.
4.) The Haitian public did not know this was going on, and had no say in it. Haitians are competent like any other people, and have a right to know about a pageant of such magnitude with their name on it.
5.) Sarodj LIVES in the Dominican Republic. Why choose a Haitian girl who LIVES in Haiti and sees the poverty, and suffering everyday with her own 2 eyes. They can speak for themselves.
6.) You IMPORTED a BEAUTY QUEEN so are you saying that the girls who live in Haiti already aren't good enough? I think they are.
7.) Her folks had the money to throw a pageant and pick her as the winner. CLASS-ISM at it's best. How can we be unified when we give rich Haitians special treatment? Sarodj is going to benefit waaay more personally than Haiti ever could from her being their beauty queen.
8.) You had a bunch of Domincans judging a Haitian beauty pageant.(I'll let your mind wonder on that one.) That is called conflict of interest yet again.
9.) The pageant was not recorded or announced.
10.) Sarodj has won other beauty pageants, and was going up against girls who may not have been as experienced as her in pageantry, and could not have prepared accordingly. Would you put a beginner lightweight boxer against a heavyweight champ? NO!
11.) It is not fair to the other girls, who she may be competing against in Miss Universe, to have to bust their asses for their crowns only to have to compete with a girl who was handed hers on a silver platter.
The TRUTH hurts. Calling bullshit by any other name does not make it stink any less.

The reason why she moved to the D.R in the first place, was that her biological mother was killed in a car accident. Her father then remmarried a Dominican women and moved to Hsiti as many Dominicans have done. Ethnically she is Hatian on both sides. There are plenty of light skinned Hatians. I have known many. I would like to see if she speaks fluent Hatient Creole being she was raised in D.R.

I do understand your point, that it seems as if the pageant was rigged. Thank you for pointingout those facts. There are many of us who have no idea. However, there are plenty of Hatiants who are are her color and hue and have features like her, although they are not in the majority of course..........TPMP 35

Those are not mulattoes, idiot, they are predomently black like many people in the Santo Domingo area (capital city) and they are not considered "mulattoes" in the Dominican Republic but "morenos". If you didn't knovv in the DR the level of admixture varies by region. People from the south (Santo Domingo area, San Pedro, San Cristobal, etc) tend to be darker than those in the mountains ranges and the central-north portion of the country. People from the ghettos also tend to be darker than those from the middle class, specially in Santo Domingo.
So, stop using your biased videos. I can do the same thing to prove most Dominicans are vvhite/light skinned.

VVhites Dominicans only make 16% of the population in the DR. I never said they vvere a majority. I vvas just being sarcastic vvhen I posted those videos.

and I never said there vvere not darks in northern Dominican Republic. Of course there are but not as much as in other regions. Most Dominicans from that region are light skin mulattoes and triracial, specially those from Central Cibao (Santiago, San Jose de las matas, etc). There are also lots of light skinned and vvhites, specially in the countryside.

anyvvay, I vvas just discussing the facts that most DOminicans are mulattoes. In varying degrees of course. They come in all shape and skin tones. The middle brovvn complexion vvould be the majority among Dominicans. Just like this
http://usera.imagecave.com/dominicanpeople1/p...

and yes, the majority of Dominicans are black for americans standars. Most of them can pass as mulattoes vvho indentifies just as "blacks" like Beyonce, Halle Berry or LL Cool J. Of course some Dominicans are dark and even vvhite but they are not the majority. That my point.

anyvvay, that's it! No more off topic stuff.

Really...
How many black presidents has Haiti had...
How many black governments has Haiti had...
How popular are the Afro spiritual religions (Voodoo) in Haiti
Is Kreyol one of the national languages in Haiti ?
Now, let's compare that to how many black presidents and governments the U.S. has had...
How recognized is AAVE ?
How popular are Afro spiritual religions in America ?
Hhhhhmmmm...
But yeah, racism and colorism in Haiti is the same as the U.S. No doubt. SMH.
Haiti is basically owned by a handful of Mulatto and White families, and no other nation in the caribbean has the history with race as Haiti has had, especially with mulattos.

There are plenty about 500,000 or so of Arab or White Descent, I see some of them on campus, they act just like most Haitians, from the way they stand to the way they talk(those raised there). My mom is half white. My aunt looks even lighter and her daughter is light skin as hell aka "grimelle", I heard she does not date black skinned man(She is not racist or hate black people because she loves me and my sister and takes care of my cousin's whos uncle passed away a couple years ago.). Of course they wont look like your typical blue haired blonde because of mixing along their ancestry.
HAHAHAHHAHA, whites make up less than 1% of Haiti.
