I heard that one ear means he's straight and one that he is gay.

I saw Morgan Freeman on "The View" the other day and he had them in both ears! What does that mean? Most men don't wear in both ears, do they?

Hi Nunya!

Used to be the right ear pierced meant you were gay and the left meant you were straight. However alot of men have both ears pierced nowadays. It's just fashion to have both pierced.

Hi Miss Sha! Rarely see it so I wasn't sure. Funny that left means straight because left is usually the deviation from the "norm." For instance, I write with my left hand and it's in the minority and people believe that there are differences in lefties and righties...(I noticed that Obama is a leftie, by the way. But I do most everything else right-handedly, so I am not a pure lefty.)

my man has both his ears pierced. I asked him to do it (with lots of coaxing him into it lol) because I knew he would look hot with it and he does, he looks sexy :o) times have changed and you can't rely on those old sayings to prove anything.

That is a good observation about the left being the deviation from the norm. So you are ambidextrous. I am right handed. But I wear my watch on my right wrist, which I hear is not the norm. It feels weird on my left wrist.

Yeah, well I think it used to be that both ears meant bi. So I guess it's changed! Maybe now that being gay is pretty acceptable means that signals are unnecessary, LOL

I wear my watch on my right arm! It's funny because it would make sense if you favor the right side to want to look in that direction to see the time, but I think righties wear it on the left because when they fasten it, they have motor skills which favor the right hand.

The worst thing is when I had to learn penmanship in school and they made you slant the page. I think the teachers didn't know that lefties wouldn't be comfortable with the same direction. I actually have good handwriting so it didn't affect that, thankfully. But some of the desks are made for righties, even in college, LOL!

May I ask how old you are now? I remember that earrings on guys got big in the late 80s/early 90s, because of Michael Jordan, etc. I will never forget Jordan's diamond studs...

When are we going to let go of this childish BS and take things for what they really are. What does an ear piercing have to do with someone's sexuality. I don't see how the two relate.

*This isn't a personal attack on the original poster, i've acutally heard this crap b4 and thought 'this is the most dumb sh*t i have ever heard of"

You are probably too young to remember when it was really about that. Also, colors of scarves. This is true! But it was back when being gay was really underground and I guess men couldn't come out and ask a guy for a date without fearing violence. You got so emotional about it! Chill! You wear two earrings, don't you, LOL...

to have a piercing in one (right ear) you are gay, and to have two (both ears) you are concidered bisexual.

When you don't know the orgin of a thing and throw caution to the wind anything goes. This practice started in England among the gay men. So, what you are saying is you prefer a gay man?

By gally you got it right. Somebody has some sense. Now the next thing we need to get straight is the boys and men wearing the pants under their but like they came straight from prison. How will our little girls ever have a man to marry when they are backing up to the same sex? Go Figure!
