If Texas seceded it would eventually get caught up as providing new routes for Mexican drug cartels. With borders closed to the U.S. and ours closed to them, they'd be on their own without federal help. The cartels there won't let up, and as poor as the people are in Mexico, they'd have nothing to lose by immigrating to Texas. With the new nation of Texas, they'd be on their own. People all over the place there would be providing drug routes into the US for money. It would be a bloodbath.

Texas leads the nation in administering the death penalty. With their own constitution I'm more than confident they'd rapidly crank of the executions. How else would they be able to give the impression that their efforts to curb all the violence from Mexico is successful?

This government supplies guns TO Mexican drug cartels. This government won't send needed national guard troops to the border. Ice refuses to come and pick up illegal "immigrant" criminals arrested and jailed by police for other crimes, they refuse to send needed national guard to the border and don't even allow the Border Patrol to do their job properly.
