There was a movie documenting how the more you went to school the more you racked up debt. There are many people with bachelor degrees making 10 dollars an hr sacking groceries.

In America, college can be seen as a scam, because just like you have to pay to live in America...so too do you have to pay to be educated beyond the common man in order to receive more pay...which means eventually you will pay higher taxes. Obtusely, we are taught that education ...means what is learned in order to provide a higher quality of self-labor. We are taught that learning is not free ...and to want to learn beyond the small hill...can only come with a mountain of costs....This is done to prevent 'learning' in exchange for just gaining enough 'understanding' to work for the rest of your life and die. Because education expands the mind... such a reality is dangerous. Too much education ...creates revolutions.

very true. a degree under one's belt can take one much father than a high school graduate or GED holder.

also, it depends on the program from which one gets his degree. one can get a better paying job with a STEM major than art or hospitality management.

it depends on what you get your degree in.If you get your degree in art most likely your gonna be a teacher unless you are some kind of modern day picasso.

So true. A family member of mine spent twelve years in college studying history. There is nothing he can do with his degrees except teach. Too bad he lacks the motivation to jump through the hoops required to enter the field. For the last twenty-five years he has bounced from retail jobs to nightclubs.

College has become more of a vocational institute. No longer can you get your English degree, then visit the haberdasher, buy a briar pipe, go find an awesome job, and have an awesome life forever. This isn't the 60's anymore. Specialize in something worthwhile.

It doesn't help that college in general has been destroyed by blacks being shored up and coddled through on marginal aptitude.

We need to put more emphasis on business and unity. Were doing the worst because we dont own anything and selfishness/untrustworthiness. In a business scheme everybody cant be rich but no one will starve.
