Yes, Yes I read the entire post. I was just stupified by the uninspiring cultural environment you live in, if what you stated was true. 89Shortz is a cool, educated chick and she never mentioned any anti intellectualism or war against the sexes, ans she lives in Minneapolis too. I agree that Black women will go to the ends of the Earth for her man. We call it "ryding" in Ebonics. LOL! It's completely lame that we as African Americans don't have more avenues to express our adoration for our sistaz, and thus negate these stereotypes of loud, fat, obnoxious Black women. I cosign on that aspect.

However, even though there are many IR Black dewds that denigrate Black women in order to subconciously justify thier own sense of self hate, sistaz do the same. For instance at my old house, my next door neighbor's daughter had a White "baby daddy". I saw her once in a blue moon and would speak, and she always snubbed me. One day when I came out of my house she asked me if I could help her because her car stalled. You know what my anser was. LOL! I tell that story because it's a two way street. I've found the same behavior in Asians and Latinas who date interacially. They won't even look at another Asian/Latino while in public. There are plent of sistaz too. Don't mean that the majority of Black men don't love ya!

Oh no trust I agree with you fully on some black women doing it as well.....I just had to give him some reality for his ass lol.....he seems like one of those type of black men. What people fail to realize is black women dont want to BE a man, we want to be viewed as EQUAL.....not just something for show,to clean, to cook, raise children and sex.....we too desire to work and bring in some income while at the same time do all those things above. But it is no lie, with most black women, if you treat her right she will go to the end of the earth for a black man. I'm sorry but I just have to disagree with this. I don't think that most humans are attracted to uniqueness. I think that people are conditioned through colonialism and slavery to think that white people are beautiful or superior.

I'm black, dark-skinned with kinky hair, full lips and all. No offense, but white guys have never done it for me at all. Personally, I don't find light eyes, light hair and small lips attractive at all, and when it comes to skin color, any lighter than olive and I'm turned off. The only European I'd even consider would have to look like a Southern European or be an immigrant from somewhere else.

Maybe it is me. I'll admit, with what I've seen, I've gone off the deep end myself. I'm frustrated. Thing is, I've spent A LOT of time around blacks and as years go by, I see this more and more often. I may be way too harsh but it really bothers me the way black people treat each other and others these days, and sometimes use God to try and justify it all the time. Superior moral high horse I call it. This is what I'm seeing and it really disturbes me. What's more, it seems like these people are happy like to be this way and don't want to change. I know it is not all black people but it is way too many for my confort. I'm half black. When I bring my kids into this world I want to be able to bring them around both the races I'm a member of. With this amount of negativety that seems to be ever increasing, it doesn't look like that will happen. I hope you have constructive criticism for me, I'll respect it. You've shown respect to me thus far even after seeing what I wrote and you asked me about it instead of attacking me on it. I respect that very much. If only more people, myself included, would conduct themselves that way.

Well like I stated before I suggest a change of environment. If you have indeed achieved the level of academic success that you suggested in your earlier post, than you need to expand your horizons. I won't pretend to know anything about Minneapolis, but I have heard that there is severe azz backwardism there, as in most midwestern cities. You should come to the East Coast and kick it with us. We have a growing population of socially upward mobile inhabitants here in the Tri-State area. Nowhere near enough though. This is why we call it a "struggle" babygurl.

Actually I'm a man. I heard it was worse out in the east coast. I'm what one calls an egalitarian. I probably won't be satisfied until I feel things are completely fair. But I'll try and take you up on your suggestion. I think the "struggle" has become internal and the only way to get over it is for blacks to stop holding on to it so strongly. That's just my point of view of course.
