that means they are not attending college relative to their population size. This is interesting.

we all should know by now that bm and bw attend college at higher rates than whites. that is a fact.

lets play the number game that whites love to play, percentages nd per capita they swear we dont understand

12.7 million bm 18 nd older comprise 5.5% of the adult male population, according to 2010 census bm were 5.5% of all college students.

76.4 million wm 18 nd older make up 32.7% of the adult male population BUT, BUT only made up 27% of all college students in 2010

Are you trying to say that white men attend college at a much higher rate than black men?

Only 5.5% of AA males are attending a college or university.
27% of white males are attending a college or university.

Is this correct?

Those numbers make no sense. You are counting black and white adults twice. You need to separate them.

You are saying 12.7 million black males over 18 are 5.5% of the population of both black and white men over 18. Then you say 76.4 million white males over 18 are 27% of black and white males over 18. Then you try to separate them as a percentage of college attendees.

????

How many black males over 18 are there in America?
How many of those black males attend college?

How many white males over 18 are there in America?
How many of these white males attend college?

Of course there will be many millions more white males not attending college at the present time than black males based on population size. Those millions of white males are not presently attending college due to the fact that they have graduated years ago.

So what are you trying to show?

no 5.5% of all college students are blk, which makes sense being that blk males are only 5.5% of the adult population

white males are 32.7% of the population yet only make up 27% of college students, meaning white males numbers are disproportionately low relative to their population

With the exception of the top maybe 6-10% of whites, the rest of the white population aren't really any better off than blacks.

The walmart heirs 6 individuals inherited wealth of more than the entire bottom 45% of the population combined.

This story really isn't surprising when you look at society in general.

Fact: A HIGHER percentage of black men attend college than white men.

..this is from the 2009 census...
# of white men in America - 121,235,723
# of white men attending college - 5,709,000
so about 4.7% of the total white male population was enrolled in college in 2009
# of White women in America - 123,062,670
#ww Attending college - 7,116,000
so 5.7% were enrolled in college.
Black male population - 18,936,151
#bm enrolled in college - 1,058,000
this comes out to about 5.5%
Black women population - 20,704,909
#bw enrolled in college - 1,831,000
8.8 % in college

This is a joke!

Black males over 18 make up 5.5% of the ENTIRE male population over 18 based on the number of white males in America. More or less white males would change the 5.5% figure.

Your math teacher would frown upon this.

So there are 63.7 million more white males over age 18 than black males over age 18. Correct?

Do you expect that all 63.7 million white males be attending college at the same time?

How many of those 63.7 million white males completed college 10, 20, 30 or even 50 years ago?

You need to re-think you thinking.

I believe black males up 7% of our population, but if it is 5.5% of our population and you're saying that 5.5% of them are attending college, that would they all are attending college. That is not possible being that black males up the general population.....of prison more than they do college. Where did you find your statistics?

we're talking about enrollment for the year of 2010.

according to 2010 stats, blk males were 5.5% of college students relative to their population size.
white men were only 27% of college students disproportionately low for their population size at 32.7%

No, if you show us the stats, then we could all work together to figure your numbers out. Your numbers do not add it Aziya.
