I'n a Black woman and I happen to LOVE NASCAR and attend many races at the Chicagoland Speedway with my husband and I also like hockey. Surely, we are in the minority in attendance but hey, we love the sport! We are working class African Americans. I have a 6 year old that wants to play Ice Hockey. Certainly unusual but I'm not going to deny her that opportunity because of her color or because people think blacks look "silly" doing that. Not really seeing anything too ridiculous about that.

People wear whatever they want to. Same as where one chooses to eat. Clothes do not make a person; people make the clothes. If a African American (Lebanese, Japanese, Korean, Celtic, Dominican, Russian etc.) wants to wear any aforementioned brands of clothing then they can. Will Ralph Lauren come knock on his consumers door and say "Hey, you are not my intended audience. Dont wear this!" No. Are retail stores and outlets going to refuse to sell to specific ethnicities? No.

where I'm from blacks don't wear those white labels like american eagle and abercrombie you would be considered a joke. However they do wear polo but that's like a universal thing.
