If you noticed an earlier comment of mine, it is precisely this thread's assumption that there are "so many" gay Black men compared to other folk that I questioned. In short, I question the assumptions and the logic of the thread. I pointed out that there's a lack of reliable evidence that black men are more likely than othes to be gay, and that it's likely a myth.
But since folk won't let it go than I see no reason NOT to ask them about the gayness of other folk.
WHY IS IT BEING ASSUMED THAT BLACK MEN ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE GAY?

I am a gay black male and black men are not more likely to be gay then any other race. The DL lifestyle has caused people to think that black men are more prone to be gay when that's simply not the case.

Your comments on the White/Hispanic homosexuality trend has about as much merit as any of the "trolls" who claim the Blacks love butt sex after eatting fried chicken and watermelon. While I'm sure it boosts your ego, it doesn't account for much. I, on the other hand, have laid out a trial of historical behavior and current social trends that substantiates the view.

Personally, I can't speak on what Africans are doing because I really don't know any. I do know that 30 years old in my community homosexuality was not so high. Yes there has always been gay people but it wasen't so many of them. Today I see tons, even teenage boys so yes it has increased for us. Even if you go to a local shopping area where i live around 3pm you will see dozens of little gay boys and lesbian girls comming from school. Something I would have never seen even 20 years old so it may have not increased in your area but it has in mines. Your comment about the fried chicken and butthole was kind of funny.

I've not lived in San Francisco, but I've visited more than while at conferences or lectures.
Yes, there are a lot of gay white men out there. In fact, I believe that I read once that as many as one third of the population is gay.
And I think the black population is less than 10% of the total.
So the math.

In reply to your dogmatic, ungrammatical last sentence, I should like to know how you can be sure there's no agenda. The thread didn't drop out of the sky.
Your comment that "you men like to throw that one out there, dont ya?" Suggests that you're a woman, maybe a black woman. Who knows?
Two things:
1. That response is an ad hominem, and thus irrelevant to the point.

2. You've conveniently overlooked the fact that SOME WOMEN--I believe BLACK WOMEN-- have also questioned the agenda behind the thread.

And I'm sure that if you're a black woman (but who know who is what in this forum?), you would have questions about the agenda of a thread which asked: "Why are so many black women lesbian crack ho's" or "Why are so many black women welfare queens who breed like rabbits?".
I know I would question the agenda of such questions about black women, just as some black women have questioned this current thread.
But some of us have a certain level of consciousness. Others don't have a clue.
