I still cannot wrap my head around this:<quoted text>
The max sentence for murder is 16 years. And saved for the most severe cases. Let's say it's a double or trible murder. It's still 16 years. It's normal to serve 12 years. 2/3 time. The 16 years is rarely used. There was a female doctor who killed her lovers wife and two children in a fire. I think in 1999 she's out now. Only if the psychiatrists diagnose mental illness they can keep them behind bars for longer. And in most cases they're not diagnosed insane.I think the longest one was behind bars was 40 years. A man who killed four policemen back in 1965. He's out now. All in all I think I've meet 5 killers. You never know who your neighbour is. Last example a man crushed the scalp of another random man this year in the back of the head with a hammer. He got a "hard"sentence 1.5 years. It sure Scandinavia must be a Paradise for criminals. They get to select a pornmovie every week. For free. The inmates. Singleroom with tv, dvd and stuff. Lol
You just said that some guy was given a sentence of 1.5 years -- 18 MONTHS -- for crushing some random guy's head with a hammer? Was it in self defense? I don't get that one.
They let inmates watch porn in their own rooms with a DVD player? Not a bad gig considering they still get 3 square meals a day, healthcare, and a roof over their heads.
--- and here I am thinking that crime doesn't pay.
