"BIRTH CONTROL DEATH PLAN To the Lost-Found members of the tribe of Shabazz (the so-called Negroes), I warn you my people and especially the women. Be aware of the tricks the devils are using to instill the idea of a false birth control in their clinics and hospitals. STERILIZATION IS NOT BIRTH CONTROL, BUT THE END OF ALL POSSIBILITY TO BEAR CHILDREN." Honorable Elijah Muhammad http://www.noineworleans.org/messenger_books/...

Ok, stop funding Planned Parenthood and we'll stop funding welfare. Enjoy raising six children as a single mother with no assistance.

Next I suppose these morons will start protesting the sale of condoms in the black community. I wouldn't be surprised. ricland

Planned Parenthood IS NOT dragging women in off the streets and forcing abortions on them. The only people who have abortions are those who specifically request them. How is that racist?

How is that racist? This is question that one would ask when they are ignorant of HISTORY. The dumbing down of Americans is real. So many injustices committed against Black and poor white and all shades in between. Below is the history of Planned Parenthood and it's founder Margaret Louise Sanger (1879 - 1966) "We do not want word to get out that we want to exterminate the Negro population" Who spoke these words? The Klu Klux Klan? Aryan Nations? The National Socialist (Nazi) Party? These are the words of Margaret Sanger, Founder of Planned Parenthood, the largest provider and promoter of legal abortion in the United States.

This is who I might call an Uncle Tom. He has conservative Republicans drag him to an anti-Planned Parenthood rally, but probably has never asked a single one of them if they would adopt a black child. He likely is not to engage them as to whether or not they can open their homes and hearts to a black baby. What they are doing is using this negro for their agenda. Indeed, he is Uncle Tom.

LOL I didn't bother to use contraception so it's the abortion clinic's fault that I had an abortion so I'm going to shut it down.
Is that sad or just funny or both?

I'll trade funding of Planned Parenthood in exchange for funding of welfare recipients. Good luck trying to raise multiple children in a single parent household without government assistance.

Having said that, I'm all for discount and/or free birth control for all -- regardless of color.

Well I googled the history of Sanger and the article that I selected really makes you think!?! It helps to know the history and then come to your own conclusions. Here's the article (link) I read: http://www.ppacca.org/site/pp.asp...

People suffer the consequences of the choices they make. If they decide to have unprotected sex and get pregnant, then it's their fault. Not Planned Parenthood's. Nobody is holding a gun to anyone's head to force them to obtain an abortion. It is a choice. A choice that a female makes. This is about choices, not blame.

I knew that many of her quotes were taken out of context, but didn't realize that so many weren't even hers to begin with. BTW, used to live in Salisbury. Parents still in OP.

Am I missing something here?
I see this as a situation of personal accountability. Is Planned Parenthood forcing Black women to get abortions? Last time I checked they only provide services you request.
This is why our cries for equality and justice fall on deaf ears, because of situations like this; circumstances that we control and create ourselves but are suddenly ashamed of so we have to find scapegoat. In the case, Planned Parenthood is just a scapegoat.
GET EDUCATED, MY PEOPLE. LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF, YOUR CULTURE AND ALL OTHER WORLD CULTURES.
PREPARE YOURSELF TO THRIVE IN THIS WORLD AND YOU'LL NEVER HAVE TO FRET OVER INJUSTICE. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO FIGHT IT.
And you'll never have to blame the wall when you stub your toe.

I have no doubt that the Aryan Nation and KK have said and still believe those things but WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH WILLINGLY GETTING PREGNANT AND THEN PERSONALLY DECIDING TO GET AN ABORTION?

BUT STILL, even if Sanger did say that (and I'm sure she didn't because it would have been in the news at least once) how is she causing Black women to become inconveniently pregnant so that they have to get an abortion? Is she an evil feritility god or something?!

I think Wiki has a pretty okay source of info on Sanger and you can check their sources as well... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Sanger And yeah, Sanger's sympathy for eugenics has always concerned me. Otherwise this issue is LOADED with complexity. We can't ignore the precedent for encouragement towards eugenics in minority races, in the past. At the same time we can't diminish the importance of personal liability for the choice to go through abortion. Personally I feel as if waaaaaay too much emphasis is placed on abortion, whereas we should place all of our energy on sexual education and preparation both mentally, biologically, emotionally and socially. If we covered those bases we'd have far less to worry about with this issue. These issues are compounded in the black community by dire poverty and other harsh circumstances that further highlight abortion as an option. Now with all that having been said, I don't see how people don't at least raise a small eyebrow in worry at the fact that funds in the Planned Parenthood business are taken and placed towards specific races of people. I mean seriously, NOBODY sees an issue here?! Nobody?! Because I'd think there'd be something very, very wrong with any agency that accepted donations from anybody to support the abortion of specific ethnicities. So if I called in and told Planned parenthood that I wanted to donate money to be put towards furthering the abortion of white children, that's all good and dandy... And nobody thinks that there is anything wrong with this? Read the article. That's what those undercover interviews amounted to. Correct me if I'm wrong... De nial is one hell of a town... hawt
