Why would you all of a sudden care about banks when you cash all your government checks at Asian convenience stores? Dumbazz.

If the black bank assets is 0.43% that is less than 1/2 of one percent which doesn't make pimple on a black boy's ass when you look at the overall picture. I have never heard of any of those banks.

Chicago must have lots of rich blacks with all those banks. For some reason I expected to see the NYC area with a few more black banks.

The top African American owned bank in that link has a 'poor' rating.

"As of March 31, 2013 Alamerica Bank had $7.63 million in non-current loans and owned real-estate with $8.1 million in equity and loan loss allowances on hand to cover it. This gives Alamerica Bank a Texas Ratio of 94.21% which is poor. Any bank with a Texas Ratio near or greater than 100% is considered at risk."

So does the second

"As of March 31, 2013 Broadway Federal Bank had $35.94 million in non-current loans and owned real-estate with $43.44 million in equity and loan loss allowances on hand to cover it. This gives Broadway Federal Bank a Texas Ratio of 82.74% which is poor. Any bank with a Texas Ratio near or greater than 100% is considered at risk."

So does the third

"As of March 31, 2013 Capitol City Bank & Trust Company had $47.55 million in non-current loans and owned real-estate with $17.45 million in equity and loan loss allowances on hand to cover it. This gives Capitol City Bank & Trust Company a Texas Ratio of 272.50% which is poor. Any bank with a Texas Ratio near or greater than 100% is considered at risk."

I assume the rest are no better.

The once-towering stature of the Black bank has diminished. After almost 125 years of serving the underserved, the Black banking community has been brought low by a shrinking clientele, questions of relevance, competition from big banks and the fluctuating fortunes of its traditional client base—churches, small businesses and lower- and middle-income Blacks, who have borne the brunt of the economic recession.

“The state of Black banks is bleak,” said Paul O’Connor, founder of Angkor Strategic Advisors, a Chicago-based investment firm that works with Black banks, speaking about conditions within the minority banking community in that city.

Stay away from black owned banks. They are not healthy and are on the decline. They are obsolete.

White people know that if we take our money out of their banks and put it into black owned banks some of their banks close their doors. Take our money and put it where we can create businesses.
