Oh sorry didn't see all that.
But ! Stop it please everybody.
We obviously love music the same, no ?
Black and White still have their issues but at the end of the day, christina can sing, regardless of where her handlers put her! She has no say !
Eminem can rap, great !
But all that doesn't address or discredit the race issue. That's for another forum.
Ps. I am a black teacher. Do your research on what's going on in the world today. They want us to be distracted with nonsense such as black and white 17th century racist bullshit !
Think about it.
We should be attacking wall street, the federal reserve and the likes, with such veracity.
Practice harmony. We all live on this rock called Earth.
Have u seen how big the universe ( omniverse ) is ?
We have bigger things to deal with family !

I mostly agree with everyone on your list. Just a few things I would change.
Just cuz Ella was black doesn't make her an R&B singer. She dabbled in blues, but was predomantly a jazz singer. She's definately one of the best singers of all time, but I don't think she belongs on this list. I'd leave off Janet Jackson as well. she had some good songs thanks to her producers, but her voice wasn't all that. Should also add Stephanie Mills.

Perhaps her name was mentioned on someone's, and I missed it. With all due respect to this being a black forum, please permit this white guy to name the #1 female R&B, heck the #1 female vocalist of all time. It is Bettye Swann, and it is not even close. She'll bleed you and heal you in the same song. If you have forgotten about her, reawaken. If you never heard of her, learn (google).

I'm surprised to look at the list and not see one of the absolute best R & B singers of all time She can do six octaves. Her voice is amazing simply because of her range and the emotion she puts into her songs. Rachelle Ferrell
Second would have to be Jill Scott, Whitney, Aretha, etc.

Look RBD... YOU of all people should know that NO ONE ELSE can ever possibly hold a candle to the richest, most beautiful voice that we've been blessed to have on our humble planet...
MAHALIA JACKSON
Had she broke her integrity, she'd have been the best singer black, white, beige, whatever you identify your skin color... no one can match the rich soulfulness of her voice. So she was a gospel singer... so what... that should ELEVATE her, not degrade her... She will ALWAYS put ANYone on your list to shame...
