It was justified.
He refused to put down his knife.
Cops have families too...
why in the hell should one die for some crazed crack-head.

Ok, he had a knife, and they instructed him to walk away, but I didn't see him charging at them. The man was walking away. If he was walking away what gave them the urge to shoot a man in the back as if he was coming towards them. 46 times? Don't some of you think that was a little too much? They could have just shot him in the leg, in the hand, or the shoulder then restrained him. Yet they fired at a man who turned his back towards them. All six of these officers need to be suspended without pay.

I agree. They all pretty much emptied the clip on him. They could've found other alternatives to end the situation.

My point exactly, but what my mind can't fathom is how they just open fired when he turned his back and started to walk away. I don't know if he was going to murder someone or what, but they didn't have to go overboard.

Were you standing there at the scence of the incident? I didn't think so, fckwit.

Sorry but no. Zimmerman may have shot once but Cops shoot to stop the threat. That being why had Zimmerman been an Officer with Trayvon on top of him, he would have taken 4 or 5 rounds to the chest to stop the threat.

Here's a novel idea, comply with the nice Officers and do everything they say. They aren't mind readers who are expected to guess what "turning around to look at them" means.

If that person can't tell the difference between Police Officers issuing commands and a "neighbor funning around w/him"? Oh well.

Exactly.
It's not rocket science, that's for sure.

And I'd be willing to wager that those who are defending that man for walking away are the same "Dudley do rights" that blast Zimmerman for not "complying" with a dispatch operator's suggestion to not follow Trayvon.

What I can't fathom is anyone with any common sense and who wouldn't comply to the letter with the nice Officer's commands. But then again, that would be far too easy now wouldn't it. If a person is in possession of a knife, it's not Burger King and no, they can't have it their way.

Life's full of choices. Choose wisely.

Typical troll stupidity. No one knows whether Zimbo was threatened. A few scratches on the head, and those occurring, apparently,on grass proves only that Zimbo can talk.

To rationalize from the Zimbo case to this recent one is another clear sign of how reason is alien to trolls. Obviously, obviously six armed officers--with a dog, no less-- don't need anything but basic intelligence to neutralize a man yielding a knife. By the way, what kind of knife are we talking about. The story doesn't tell us. Chances are it was a multi function Swiss type of knife similar to those used for minor jobs.
.
Conclusion: Americans have totally lost control of their government.

I know if the police are pointing there gun at me
I'll drop that knife real Quick.
Why is it so hard for blacks to comprehend this ?

Indeed. Why is it so hard.

What's that saying? Give generously.

I'm not here to reason with the likes of you. Clearly, you are beyond reasoning and the Zimmerman case hammering that point home.

Last time that I checked, when an Officer issues a command, you comply. I don't care what kind of knife it was that the dirt ball was in possession of. He chose wrongly and so be it. When an Officer issues a command you follow it. They aren't dispatch operators giving suggestions. Learn the difference and maybe you won't appear as laughable and hypocritical to those of us who understand the difference.

Again, trolls show their total inability to apply reason to an event. The question here is not the victim's state of mind. He's dead. We don't know whether he was mentally impaired, intoxicated, etc. The question here is whether cops were justified in their use of force and whether more force than necessary was used.(We know here, that far, far more force than necessary was used.) Trolls should restrict themselves to fantasy and fairy tales, the stuff for childish minds.

I agree that they should have shot him in the legs, at least. He'd most likely hit the ground afterward, especially with more than one shot.

They had no tasers?

If he ran at one of them, I could say that they'd be justified in opening fire on him like this but, that's not what he did.

This was a 'last resort' act, yet they used it as their first.

Bad decisions.
