First of all why aren't these children in school? Second, if parents don't care enough about who's mending their kids mind why should these networks? It's sad that children end up being victimized by the videos and lyrics they come to know to well. Television is raising the children instead of the parents because they're to busy these days, Lord forbid they find out about topix, talk about a new breed of haters.

I hate when we feed into this type of media trash. At work, we have only one common television and most of the people there want to watch this, rather than something educational or just plain good TV. I love
CSI but it gets booted by the rump shaker shows. I admit to watching Flav...but I do not understand watching it when a debate between Clinton and Obama is on. We do have better choices.

"On VH1's hit Flavor of Love 2 this summer, one of the women vying for rapper Flavor Flav's attention has an accident and defecates on the floor of a mansion, albeit off camera. Elsewhere, an episode of MTV2's animated Where My Dogs At? depicted a Snoop Dogg look-alike walking two black women on leashes and then cleaning up their poop."

Completely the F Down-like in figuratively "Dead as a Doornail" Down-program terminated..that kinda thing...:O)

"In the premium-cable corner, Showtime's new fall comedy from Damon Wayans, The Underground, has sketches featuring a woman's talking genitalia (titled “The Real Vagina Monologues”) and “balls-out” jeans. HBO's now-cancelled sitcom Lucky Louie had actors graphically simulating having sex, masturbating in a closet and using the “F” word."
....Hmmmm...Damon Wayans..why am I not surprised??

Waaaaaaaay Back...

BET is now being shown here in the UK. It's not disgusting... more moronic!

BET and MTV both are H.A.M.s. But I do have to admit that I tune into MTV for the Real World/Road Rules challenges, and BET for Hell Date and that ghetto show College Hill. lol

I know I was looking foward to it gettin' here but it's boring as hell they have the same damn shows repeated sometimes 3 times a day.

This one episode of 106 & park with keisha cole comes on atleast twice a day, the same episodes of hell date comes on three different times lmao

Some show called meet the faith comes on everyday and everyday it's a repeat, same with urban living, hiphop vs america etc.

I know they don't this to you guys lol..well I hope not..you guys can have it back lol

We can't expect a television network to raise our children. Most tv's come with parental block, both my kids have cable in their rooms. MTV, BET, HBO are all blocked. I even have a passcode for the Playstation. There's tons of violence on TV why are we focusing on MTV and BET like they are some new demon spawn? The true reality is negligent parents who use the TV as a babysitter and don't monitor what their children absorb.

Exactly, we always look to blame outside factors but the bottom line is that parents and parenting is the key. It's not just BET and MTV either. You could be watching a game in the middle of the day and you'll get a commercial talking about erectile dysfunction or some other sexually based commercial. There is just an overall decline of basic morals and values and being a good and responsible parent is what is needed to combat the many forces that are trying to get at our children.

LOL....yeah that's true. I'll tell you that TVOne and BETJ are great substitutes for the original BET channel. The programs are more interesting on those channels.

I am 100 percent sure mtv jams have not been on in over a decade. And both of these shows have become nothing but softcore porno/thug networks. They used to be so fun and innocent back in the day but now at 27 I think I am too young to view some of the filth they showcase.
