Ego, pride and self-esteem are synonyms all meaning the same thing. Whenever a woman refer to her ego, it's always in a positive manner (SELF-ESTEEM) and anytime a woman addresses a man's ego, it's in the negative (INFLATED, ARROGANT, STUCK UP and CONCEITED).

What's the difference? Nothing but euphemism. A rose by any other name is a rose but, why do women discuss there ego in a positive manner and discuss a man's ego in a negative manner. The reason is to elevate a woman and degrade a man.

It's okay for a woman to have HIGH SELF-ESTEEM but for a man it's INFLATED-EGO. What's the difference between HIGH and INFLATED? Nothing but one is soft and the other is harshM

On one hand a woman will appeal to a mans ego when she want something. If you are a real man or real men will do this or that, why don't you grow up and statments like that. When a woman want to attack a mab"s ego she goes for the juggjer. Oh you got too mUch ego, your ego is in the way, you're conceited.

Hold up a minute. Anyone ever hear women call themselves a diva, princess, queen or goddess? Is that conceited?

What I'm saying is women want to beat a man down and in the same manner exalt themselves and any man that knows the difference is a threat to a woman and such a man will not feel guilty about having an ego

A good example is Sampson and Delilah. Here is the strongest man in the world defeeted by a small weak woman. Delilah beat Sampson by playing on his ego. "'IF YOU LOVE ME YOU'D TELL ME YOUR SECRET"

Satan did the same thing to Jesus on the Mt of Temptation. "IF YOU ARE" was stated by satan 3 times but Jesus didn't go for it.

3 times at Calvary satan tried to use ego to defeat Jesus by saying, "IF YOU ARE THE SON OF GOD COME DOWN"

So brothers any time you hear a woman say if you were a real man, that woman is playing with your ego. H€ll like you got to prove you are a man to a woman.

Boastful/Dishonest. Being demeaned, poor, and spending life answerable to arbitrary people who don't like you is not conducive to honesty. Nor does it promote the display of quiet humility that is inspired by being comfortably confident and effective. Members of oppressed groups tend to like aggressive and boastful rhetoric and can often be conspicuously dishonest in their dealings. If you do not trust and are not trusted by those who govern your life, freedom, and income, and if the truth of one's chronically humiliated position in life is too much to bear, the rhetoric of honesty and modesty will be hard virtues to sustain.

Dude, why complain?
We are black and well endowed (mm well I dunno about you dude)!

But uh! Black men really have a lot of opportunities, it's just what we make of them.

A woman may give you attitude, but if you stay the course it will pay off.

Unless you are feeling salty because Wanita and Shanikwa drank up all the free drinks you offered them, and then decided to go off with Tyrone and Lamar!

I hear you loud and clear but, I'm like the old bull in the barn. While the cow got all the young bulls jumping over fences, running down in tbe creek, In the woods, through the bushed and huckle briars and a couple times around the barn all day, the old bull is still in the barn all primed up, fresh and ready to go. See, all young bulls have worn themselves out and can't compete with the old rested bull in the barn. The cow comes in after having her attention all day and a little worn down. Now the sun is setting and the Old bull is in the barn, in his enviroment. Now it's on and popping. So I'm not one for a lot of tom foolery so I just stay in the barn

This is true...But let me break it down for you...Women expect men to put her on a pedestal, but the only way a man can do that is not to have too much ego...If a man has a ego (confidence) then he will treat her as a woman and not a goddess...So this becomes unacceptable to her...So she then has to put herself on a pedestal by walking around with her head thrown back in the air like she is the best thing that ever walked and at the same time complaining and putting down men for doing the same thing she is doing...Why ????Because that guy with high confidence will not worship her and treat her like a goddess....So then it becomes a man's ego vs. a woman's confidence...

You used the word goddess which Is a refernce to diety. Do you pray to that goddess, sacrifice to that goddess and do you worshp that goddess. Can that goddess walk on water, fly in the air, move mountains. or silence a volcano? Remember you are the one that said goddess. Finally, if she is a goddess, what are you?

That was not my point...My point is that SHE thinks that she is to be treated as a goddess but when she is not, she feels depreciated...I think no woman is a goddess, but I was saying thats the attitude of some women...That everything should go there way....

Thanks for the response and patience, I mis-understood you and I can see better now.
There is a poem called "IF" that said something about walking with kings or queens and keeping the common touch.

This is an issue not just with black men but with men in general. The problem with egos is that it seems to cloud people's judgments making it so that they can't understand things that don't directly involve them. For example, a person gets mistreated, an egotistical person will say oh well its not me and probably won't even see the big deal in the person's mistreatment until its them being mistreated. A person with a low, moderate or high self esteem can see and understand situations outside of themselves and be empathetic unlike the ego which is often times pretty selfish and self centered. At least with self esteem, its more of a reflection of how a person feels about themselves. Self esteem unlike ego seems to only get in the way of people's judgment when its to high or too low. I've never heard of a medium ego only the extremes and is why it would be problem.

I think women using the term goddess, princess ect. are just terms. Its no different then a man using terms like he is a king or king of the castle. A term that is not completely accurate for them but still just a term. Men nor women can ever be these things since neither of them will ever be without fault. Well kings and queens historically have had faults but gods and goddesses, never.

Thanks for the input. if one was to look up pride, they would see references to ego and self esteem. Look up ego and there is pride and self esteem. Look up self esteem and there it is pride and ego. Pride, ego and self esteem are synonyms. Individuals attempt to make distinctions between them by using euphemisrtic adjectives such as HIGH and INFLATED but, what is the difference between HIGH and INFLATED? Nothing except one is soft and the other is harsh. if I was to say above somebody will disagree and say over. If I was to say under, some would say beneath. If I said halt, some would say stop. If I said go, someone would say proceed.

Finally, everyone is trying to make a mountain into a mole hill and demonstrate some pretense of intelligence or should I say pretense of knowledge to justify their position or should I say ideology only to display their fastidsious or should I say meticulous ability or should I say skill. A rose by any other name is still a rose. I could go on forever or should I say eternally.
