Optimism of whites in US lags blacks by big margin

Americans' attitudes about their economic future are sharply divided by race, with whites significantly less likely than blacks or Hispanics to think they can improve their own standard of living.

Yes, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out they are all labor/employment related.
So tell me Sherlock, how are you going to use that one aspect that is published monthly or quarterly to get the information he wanted stats on, when the other two or three stats needed are published yearly, and are usually a year or two delayed?
That's right, all that research you did was for naught. We are back to my precious post, and it is still valid.

So if an Asian guy steals from you when you are 5, do all Asians owe you when you are 95?
"Whites have stopped discriminating....."

Ha...haha...hahaha.....hahahah ahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

Whew. Thanks, I needed a good laugh this morning!!

Only if it was the official policy of an Asian majority state/country that they steal from gay white kids. Then YES, they still owe me the money, plus interest & penalties.

Otherwise the individual Asian or his/her descendants would still owe me the money, plus interest & penalties.

Prove that the black culture is not the cause of the problem. You have posted it repeatedly. Now prove it. Tell me about education, poverty and drugs all you want. But prove the black culture is not the cause of the problem. Tell me about all the excuses like being owed for lost wealth, that you haven't explained where it came from, but prove the black culture is not the cause of the problem.
Simple:

If "black culture" was the cause, then ALL MEMBERS of the "black culture" would have to be afflicted.

So if "black culture" is the cause of poverty, then all members of the "black culture" would have to be poor.

If "black culture" is the cause of single motherhood, then all members of the "black culture" would have to be single mothers.

In addition, if "black culture" is the cause of crime, then how can members of the "white culture" be criminals?

Simple enough for your simple mind?

How can you consider that a deflection when I started off with “Assuming those stats are correct”?
Interpretation: the issue is too complex for the bigoted pea-brain of a right-wing racist.

Dr-Sniper wrote, "<quoted text>
BTW, blacks can reach those positions. More of them should, without the crutch of Affirmative Action which sets aside jobs, seats, and appointments for them just for being black.
You liberals whine about basing things on skin color, yet you are ok with set asides for people based on skin color.
You are a hypocrite.
"

In a country with a rich history of denying Blacks opportunities due to ethnicity, race and skin color it would seem only fitting to open doors that way for minorities… what bigots like you purposefully miss is the fact that qualified Blacks are given the opportunity through AA and if they can’t cut the mustard then another qualified African American is offered the job or position. Funny how you don’t look at the reason behind AA… you just look at the remedy.
Interpretation:
Don't expose my deflection! Here, let me insult you, so no one notices I'm wrong.

Oh, I can't refute any of that, so let me repeat the liberal talking points about the past history of this country, which we want people today to pay for even though they were not there or involved in any way.

You still benefit from the white privilege that generational wealth theft caused, which continues even today.

If you're white and live in America, you benefit from the past slavery & discrimination.

No, YOU and your fellow racists are talking about the inner city "black culture".

I was talking about ALL inner city culture REGARDLESS of race.

You DO realize there are Hispanics, Asians, and (gasp!) even whites (yes whites) who live in inner cities, are poor, are on drugs, and glamorize a "Gansta" lifestyle.

Obviously you've never heard of Eimeim.....

See, THAT is what makes you a racist.

Considering your previous racist comments, I'd need to see proof of that.

If the majority of a race utilizes those negative factors in its day to day life, yes the factors are the problem, but anyone with their eyes open realizes so is the culture of the race overwhelmed with the factors.
If race had something to do with it, it would have to affect all members of that race.

It doesn't.

You just proved that you WANT to see a connection with race which clearly isn't there.

That's what makes you a racist.

Who's "we", ya got a turd in your pocket?

I'm certainly better off today than in 2009 in just about every area I can think of.

America is also better off today than in 2009 in just about every major measure.

Maybe you could like some of the "important areas" where Americans are worse off (or the same) than in 2009?

no, not at all, you are seeing what you apparently want to see.

it clearly suggests, as you even stated, that it is those factors that lead to the negative statistics, not the race of the people.

Everyone is going to answer that question differently based on their own personal situation. But what I can tell you as a taxpayer trying to look at the big picture, I don't remember four years ago as being a good time for business. I am just so sick of the "You suck, no you suck more" politics that both sides are playing. Bush and Obama have been poor leaders. Most of my friends have lost their jobs and can't find one in the last 2 years. Most can't afford the rising costs of necessities. I'm the lucky one but not blind to the fact that things are going to get worse. We are less safe and secure globally whether its our national defense or our All Mighty weakening dollar. We are due for a worse Recession than Obsma inherited. So NoNoNo we are not better off!!

Listen to yourself! I did not publish the stats! They were published by Government Agencies!
When 1.3 out of 10 people are black in this country, but 4 out of 10 Welfare recipients are black, 4 out of 10 prison inmates are black, and 7.2 out of 10 black children are born to single mothers, race has something to do with it. You calling me a racist is not going to change that, or make me stop pointing it out so those on the fence can educate themselves.

So your problem isnt with AA, it is that another minority isnt benefiting from it well I have good news for you AA covers Asians as well.
Now on a side note: are you seriously trying to equate internment camps to plantations and slavery?

People are in denial if they think today is any better than late 2009. Just because you and I still have jobs and a roof on our heads doesn't mean the nation as a whole is doing well. There are a lot of people who dont understand what is going on. Look at how many people are buying the dollar. Look at people buying Treasuries. That makes no sense either. The risk lies in the dollar. The risk lies in Treasuries and other currencies being printed into oblivion. Things are BAD my friends! We are on cruise control for war with Iran. The oil embargo combined with freezing the Iranian central banks assets mean it is, currently, the plan. Again, the world economy cannot handle an oil embargo against Iran. It appears that you've already made your choice for President in 2016 and until you change your mind, your future is gone.
