LOL calm down, racheal is a white troll, i was joking.
LOL, you want to pity her and then your realise the girl is off her rocker :/
I took her seriously a couple months ago and it was just an insult to my intelligence.

Now I just thank God there aren't people who really think like her...at least, I hope lol.

I think being biracial or multi-racial is cool, best of both worlds in a sense. To learn about two+ cultures is amazing. I only have drab Somali to deal with...haha, j/k.

Question for those who can pass for one or the other but not "mixed". I have to say I care very little for that term too. Until recently I was married to a black man for 7 years, he has traced back both sides of his family and has no known European blood lines. However, our daughter has skin not much darker than mine and I'm about as pale as you can get, I am Norwegian. She has Thick, blonde, very curly hair and gorgeous blue/gray eyes and the facial features of her father. What did you got through as a young person? How did you fit in with others? Did you fit in anywhere? I'm only interested in real relpies, the hatefull troll like replies will be ignored so don't waste your time here, do it elsewhere.

Depending on where she grows up and where she lives, she will get teased.

It's important that you teach her confident and self worth at an early age-cause kids and adults are brutal! She will often be challenged to explain her make-up, so she will need to know how to deal with those types of comments.

Good luck

A Clock Work Orange is the name it was of course a novel first but then Stanley Kubrik translated it into a movie. The book as usual was better, I suggest finding the book and reading it first. It's a sick book/movie both mentally and physically, but it makes ya think, it's worth your time.

Most of the bircial people I know tend to hang out with mostly whites and unlike those of us that are fully black they fit in more with whites. A very light skinned biracial person will have no problem with racism in this society.

That's true. But I've noticed that, whenever somebody is half somali, they always take up the somali side. Kinda weird 0.o

Watch it, lol. Maybe you'll like it too. I like creepy films so it sounds great.

Oh, thank you for the correction! Okay, I'll read the book too then. I love movies that make me think and creep me out, lol. I'm a glutton for that.
Thanks for your help :)

Um, well I am not mixed at all but people say that I don't look 'black' or something. I got hell in school though, I was bullied a lot in school, a lot of the black kids didn't like me, hair pulled things like that. I got over it though, and I just stopped caring about it, I did (and do) have more friends who are not black (Indian, Asian, White etc.), but now I'm a bit older and I have black friends too, and we're all cool.

I was just in HI in March, loved it! I went up Diamond Head twice in the week I was there just for the view. We do live in the city, however the school district we live in will send her to a suburban district, not the city. When I registered her for kindergarten, the office worker who was helping me asked me for a picture of her because I put down both black and white on the enrollment form where it asked for the childs ethnicity. She stated you can only choose one so I refused to choose. She saw her picture and put her down As white, I was not very happy with the experience and the attitude. I'm not an idiot, it's not like I don't expect it but it just rubbed me the wrong way. When it's just me and her together no problems unless her hair is braided, then ya get looks. When it's her and her father, people lok at him like he's kidnapped her. Sorry people I swear.
