When I first read about it I couldn't believe it, I have read books on Advanced Physics and Time Travel but I thought it was impossible to go back due to paradoxes.

Apparently a African American scientist by the name of Ronald Mallet is working on a REAL time machine and believes he can go back in time. Watch the video below, this is incredible, it also puts to rest the racist BS on this forum about Blacks not inventing stuff. If this guy pulls this off, he will become the next Einstein and revolutionize science.

Thanks for the video but I belive it's impossible to go back in time.

I used to believe that to, but what he is saying in the video does make sense. Space and time are connected, so what happens to one happens to another, if you bend space you can bend time. Also, he says that he is not trying to send a human back in time, he is trying to send "information back in time in the form of subatomic particles."

I think it is possible. The question I would ask him is how fast do you need to rotate the Neutron in order to send it back? As he did his demonstration I keep thinking of whirlpool. I think they may need to accelerate the neutron to the speed of light to send it back.

I wish I was already a multi-millionaire, Mallet needs $250,000 to conduct the experiment. Someone like Oprah or Jay Z can afford this, it would be nice if a Black person could finance the experiment. It will be interesting to see what happens, I will do more research on this guy.

Sorry I meant to post I DON't believe it's possible!

Here is another video on Ronald Mallet:

&fe ature=related

I believe this guy can pull it off, but he needs to raise a lot of money. He should set up an organization and request donations, I would donate some money to his cause.

Time Travel IS POSSIBLE THEORETICALLY, it does not violate any of the known laws of Physics and I know this because I read a book about it, so this guy's research is legitimate, they wouldn't have him on CNN or the History Channel if it wasn't.

If he does this he will be the greatest scientist in history, hands down.

Beyond fasinating but scary also. Send modern information and objects back in time can't help but alter the present and probably negatively..

You're absolutely right. Mallet has honorable reasons for doing this, he wants to go back, or send information back, that can save his father, who died of a heart attack at 33, which is very young.

However, there are always forces at work, notably in the government and military, who are probably already thinking about how they can use this for some sort of weapon, and I agree with you that this is very scary in that sense.

Some people here like Purpledusk971 don't believe this is possible, but as I watch the documentary it makes perfect sense, if they've read even layman's level books on Physics it makes sense. It is important to know a bit about Einstein's theory of Relativity.

Einstein had two theories, the general and special theory. The one that pertains to matter bending space is the one that Mallet is working with. Basically, gravity on Earth exists as a byproduct of the Earth orbiting around the Sun, because the Sun has a lot of mass and this mass bends space/time and keeps the Earth within its orbit. So mass can create gravity in sufficient amounts, this is why the Earth orbits the sun.

But Einstein's equation E = MC^2 says that matter and energy are the same thing, just different forms. So what Mallet wants to do is, instead of using matter, he wants to use a concentrated amount of energy to bend space and time. The easiest and lightest form of energy is light itself.

Capree, I know what you were probably thinking in the statement above..........what stops powerful people in the government, or world leaders, from sending back information that allows the past to be altered in a way which alters the future in a way that gives them power?

There is an answer to this question. I'm not a scientist, but I've read a few books on this, so this is theoretical. But I was reading one day about the theory of a multi-verse, the idea that there are basically other universes which exist that are parallel to the one we live in.

The theory of parallel universes states that there are universes which parallel ours which are slightly different, for example, there are universes where the transatlantic slave trade never happened, where Adolf Hitler won World War 2, etc.

The idea is that, if someone was able to send back information to the past that would say, allow Adolf Hitler to acquire a nuclear weapon and use it against the Allies before they had a chance to invade, this would not affect OUR PRESENT DAY. Instead this information, once given to Hitler, would actually create an entirely different universe, one which is different from our own.

In other words, if Mallet successfully sends back information to save his father, his father will not be alive in the present day universe we live in. Instead, according to the theory of the multiverse, a NEW UNIVERSE would be created in which his father doesn't die at 33 and lives on, but this is a totally different universe from ours.

Anyway, this is the theory. I'm sure that nature will have a way of balancing this if humans decide to go back in time because I agree with you that we would likely destroy ourselves with this technology.

One more thing..........it is impossible to go back to before the time machine was created. This means that, if Mallet successfully builds the time machine in July 5, 2010, it is impossible to go back to any date before July 5, 2010.

So, it would be impossible to go back and alter World War 2 or the transatlantic slave trade, because no time machine existed then.

Interesting. I defintely agree with whites using his supposedly completed invention for their own evil purposes, but good luck to him and may he become a successful legend in the scientific community and history.;):)

Then it would be impossible to save his father. I dunno....interesting and dangerous at the same time.

lol....but I have never been able to wrap my mind around the theory of alternate universes, though. I've never been able to see how that's possible or why it would even make sense.

Could you explain that easily?

Do you have PHD in quantum mechanics? If not you ain't gonna understand SHIT. Existence itself makes no muthafuckin SENSE so you can spin whateva shit you want around it and some muthafucka gonna believe it. You gotta start with the time-space continuum:
It is well known that the space/time continuum is curved. That muthafuckin curvature occurs as a result of the influence of mass against movement in time. Recently, it has been possible to detect this curvature. Because we are muthafuckin three-dimensional beings, we perceive time n shit only as a result of memory. We remember what was as a variable interval from what is now, you dig muthafucka? If we had zero memory, we could not detect muthafuckin time - we would exist only for the moment. The result of this is our apparent perception of time as a linear line, always going forward like a goddamn muthafucka.

An juss to fuck it up a little mo that cat Einstein stated that space is finite but time is infinite. The problem here is that infinite is not calculable. We need to make it finite in order to progress. Now ain't he a muthafucka?

Wow, this could go into so many different directions but I must say this first. I do believe there are multiple unverses, be they planetary or celestial however I don't believe the ones that are parallel to us, carry our alter egos or that through time travel we can hop from one universe to the other. From my limited understanding (though I am sure you far more educated on the subject)Professor Mallet described time travel as a swirl going back in time and to the future and not 2 swirls side by side where if the time machine was able send info backt to save his dad that his father would be living on a parallel univese instead of the one he onced lived on. Since time travel exist as he described it on one swirl, one chain that goes back and forth then a person can only go back and forth in time on the one universe.

People in the present sometime tend to think people in the past were less advanced that but I feel that some of these past mines could be more brilliant in todays world than any of us. That without them first making the keys, we wouldn't be unlocking all of these doors in science and technology. Take Eimstein, what if people lived 3 times as long and aged a only one year in ten years. Image Eimstein having all of that time use his brilliant mind to come up with all kinds of theories and that even defined our modern day technology?

But I understand about time....how in the world does that create alternate universes? what is it like something that is just conceived so therefore it has to be?

Just don't get that. What's the theory? Time at different speeds creates them? What?

But things just never seem to stop right there once the door as been opened. Logically we would think that objects or people couldn't be sent back before the invention was created but was the tracks have been layed and even being able to travel back one hour will led to Mallet, his peers and furture scientists working on the same theory, always extending it a bit further until they have a time traveling machine that will defy the any distance of time even before it's invention.
