Black Women, we understand. Hard working black women that aren't full of hate, I understand. I wish for your happiness. I can't be with every black woman in the world, so I can't ensure that you are treated the way you should be.
Strong black men, There isn't any denying that we have some FCKed up brothas out there, and there isn't any denying that SOME OF OUR WOMEN ARE PAYING FOR A DEBT THEY NEVER OWED.
Women want to be women, so IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE OUR WOMEN A PATHWAY TO DO SO. Some black Women didn't buy into feminism, some HAD NO CHOICE.
Strong black women that's going through it, do you. Do WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO. I Apologize to ALL my beautiful sistas for the way some of my brothers act.
I am just as disgusted with their behavior as you are.
It kills me inside, seeing my beautiful sisters struggling.
Fellas, treat your Black Woman right. She deserves it. Compliment her, and treat her like a Lady.
Black Men step up. If you already up, then make sure all the brothas that you come into contact with are too.
We need to stop enabling stupid brothas. We need to express to each other how pathetic it is for someone else's woman to have more than yours.
Brothas, any thoughts about the song or the message? Lets discuss this like strong black people. By now everyone nows what the stupid shyt is, so I'm sure we can all avoid it and the posters saying it.
When the BM/BW bashers come in here, if they act stupid, which they will, then FCK EM. REAL BLACK MEN and WOMEN, we need to discuss this.
And have some dignity, if a non black person comes in here with stupid shyt, just ignore it. They don't want us to be able to discuss our real issues in serious way.
Good post. Our women deserve the best, so we have to put ourselves in a position where not only are WE doing well... but our women are right beside us to live well also. There's no better feeling than that.

This new generation of Black men coming out of High School shows a bit of promise actually. I just graduated from NYU myself so I'm eager to see what THEY do with it.

I'm of the school of thought which states that Black men should take charge and lead their families with their woman standing beside him. I have seen some promise out of the young Black men coming out of high school myself, however, we still have a long way to go.

When we as men improve our situation, by default the situation of our women will improve also.

I've noticed that also. I also have noticed that the younger generation, and believe it or not this generation are showing alot of promise.

No offense to any brothas on here, but I think that the generation of black men that fell off and that we are having to clean up behind is the BM in the age ranges of 48-60.

The current generation ages 25-40 are doing serious damage control and attempted to pull the community back together.

As you stated, The generation below the 25-40 are showing Extreme amounts of talent and hope. And our generation of 25-40 strong black men are becoming more and more powerful as the days proceed. We got some REAL leaders in 25-40, but we still have some FCKup spill overs too.

Nice observation, I bet most blacks have noticed that as well.

Beautiful words, well written with lot of meaning. I second this advise:
'And have some dignity, if a non black person comes in here with stupid shyt, just ignore it. They don't want us to be able to discuss our real issues in serious way.'
I think this is one of the threads which requires people to ignore stupid people.
Thanks, and glad to see you jump in for a serious discussion. It's hard to ignore trolls, I'm not going to say it isn't, but the only way we will ever be able to discuss anything and show serious perspectives is if we ignore them.

They'll use the same ol played out tactics against us BM and BW, they'll lie and call us "gay", they'll troll under our Id's, just the same old boring bullish.

I agree, I strongly agree with this. I'll admit, YES our women do have issues, but as a MAN, I feel like to an extent We're responsible.

On that note, The women should feel the exact opposite, that's the only way we will make TRUE progression.

The men have to correct the men and feel responsible, and the women have to correct the women, and they also have to feel responsible.

******THINGS WE CANNOT CONDONE******

Fellas, we have to stop encouraging our women to be "Bi-Sexual". We have to frown on that.

1. Any fellas out there dating know that there is a large number of women who will either say they are "bi" or actually be "bi" in alot of cases just to impress us Men.

As hard as it is, we have to frown on that. We can't encourage that.

2. I don't have a problem with "GAY" people, but gay BM like "Darkboy", the ones that show the signs, the ones that pretend to be straight, we have to keep them away from the sistas that don't realize that they are gay. Some of those dudes like to have a normal life to display, and be secretly gay.
I don't think that the "DL" thing ever existed, but I still know that there are brothas like "darkboy" out there pretending not to be gay.

3. Rap Music. I know Alot blacks will frown on this, because I used to do it also. BUT.. Rap music is done. Each and everyone of those sellouts are doing nothing more than shamelessly contributing to the destruction of our community.

4. Black Women, Stop making your BM fight any body over anything. Let the brotha walk away sometimes, without making him feel weak. Save the fights for the important situations.

**IMPORTANT**

5. BLACK MEN! Date Black Women. Simple as that. Help that sista out. If she's out of shape, get her in the gym, get her active, help build her character and confidence.

Everyone knows that the IR dating curve is tilted extremely to benefit MEN regardless of race, and our situation, Brothas leave and date out, and I'm not going to lie, our women really don't have that option, and more than likely never will, just because Women outnumber men, and the majority of men prefer their own women and always will.

The other day when me and my lady was out, we saw about 7 IR relationships with BM/Nonblack Women, and only 1 BW/non black man......

And guess what they both had in common.... ALL 8 BLACK PEOPLE INVOLVED WERE DATING DOWN.

Blacks don't tend to benefit at all from interracial relationships, it's almost always the other race that benefits.

Discuss please..........

Hawt, I'm interested in you posters perspectives, because some of the best and only knowledge here comes from you guys. We all don't always agree with everything each other say, but there is some commonality and concern for the black community that we all share.

I'm sure I left others out, but "REAL" black posters, you know who you are, chime in and drop some perspective.

Not really interested in hearing from the brothers and sisters that ALWAYS post in the WW/WM praise threads, because you're all part of the problem us normal blacks have to struggle with fixing day in - day out.

<quoted text>where in the hell do you see black men every TV station news paper, magazine and radio calling black women unfit and unsuitable, low life and no good.
Not one person asked single black men why we're single. Come on now, it's all the black man's fault? I don't see you sweating over a black woman but, according to you it constantly about a rock up your ass. All black men aren't two lane drivers. Most of us ride on one way streets.
I'm not saying that black women aren't at fault. I'm just saying that as men we need to take responsibility for our women. There's a thread here called the "brainwashing of the Black woman", or something of that nature, and it talks about black women being brainwashed.

I believe that. I believe that there is a campaign going on right now to attack the black community by brainwashing black women and letting them the do the dirty work, while convincing them that they are doing what's best for them.

I'm saying that we need to still take responsibility for these women, cause we need them. I know some brothas that gave up on bw, because of this. You see some rich black men leave black women, because they don't want to bother undoing all the brainwashing that the black woman has undergone.

I talk to the sisters, I don't encourage the bad behavior that results from the brainwashing, I try and reverse it. I don't think that we as black men should give up.

The numbers are stagering, for single black women, because honestly, nonblack men don't want to deal with the brainwashing either.

I'm just saying that we can't give up on black women. I don't think we should bombard them with pointless praise and compliments, pretending like their isn't a problem there, but we can't abandon them either.

Once you get a black woman over that hump, they're the best thing on this planet for a black man. I know the strong sistas probably feel the same way about us brothas.

Sistas don't give up on the brothas either. If a brotha/sista is too gone for you to handle to the point that they may break your will too, then step off, cause they will take you down faster than lighting, and neither of you may ever recover.

But for the strong brothas and sistas that can't be taken down, we need to continue to lead, and continue to help each other realize flaws. Brothas can't just give up on sistas and go run off to non black women, and then come back and social with BW and pretend like there's nothing wrong with them, because they feel like they have already escaped the problem by leaving the sistas, and going to non black women.

I agree, it takes two responsible people to make a change....not just keep pointing the blame. We get enough negative from everyone else, so we have no choice but to come together as AAs. If we can't help ourselves, why should anyone else, rather blame someone else for our failures...

Those are true words, women too should respect themselves more, encourage each other, and figure out solutions to problems instead of complaining...

Discuss things all you like, but until the jigs become decent productive citizens, you will not be accepted. You have no egos and no self esteem because you have no reason to have them.

Black women are HOs and their men treat them exactly like that.
