Standards of beauty?
How BW view other BW?
How others view BW?
Black men?
Lack of Honor, loyalty, boundaries?
History?
Media?

What else?

How exactly do they contribute?

How can these change?

1. Other races aren't attracted to them.
2. They worship white men and beg for wm affection and attention.

They should change the second one so they can stop caring about the first one and the low social status won't matter.

That may be true in a general sense, seeing as how we are the flip opposite of the standards of beauty. All through black women's lives we have always been conveyed that we have no worth whatsoever....you almost can't blame most for their anger, bleaching and weave wearing (not speaking for all black women).

I really don't see black women expressing a large public interest for white males. Proof?

Or any races of men, for that matter.

That's strange. Other women get hyper jealous when bw walk in the room. Other women get lip injections, butt injections and if it was possible they would get a skin transplant.

I have never seen a bw that needed to alter their physical appearance to look all sickly and pale.

Exactly, I wish people would stop make a general statement that all BW subliminally want a WM, I most certainly don't, and numerous BW that I know don't want them either.

You can see it from the comment, threads on this site as well the blogs about wanting white men and books written by and for bw about getting/keeping white men. Also
http://blog.okcupid.com/index.php/your-race-a...
this shows that black women reply most to non-bm and are replied to the least by them

I understand that, which is why I claim that black women are beautiful. However, we have to see this from a logical standpoint. Although I do believe we are attractive, we must see the general sense of things. Because at the beginning our ancestors were told their African attributes were unattractive some black women do wear weave, apply bleach, and do what they can to be accepted. Believe me, I'm not attempting to speak ill of my fellow black women at all.

Contrary to popular belief no one tries to change their skin color more than whites. Tanning is a million possibly billion dollar business.

Sir, don't be duped by the media like others are in regards to stereotypes towards the black race.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

Sir, please stop with your resentment towards the black race.

By calling black woman beasties, you're calling black men beasts. Do better.

Great Thread...I think it all boils down to racism & sexism....however..BW submit to the status quo..although I would say..I'm happy to see more BW are being educated..and being "heavily educated" and being NEEDED in society raises your social status because it raises your "class"..and class usually trumps race and sex..because systemic racism/sexism is simply about socio-economics.... being Black and a woman is "comflagues" to render a group uncompetitive for resources.. The problem as I see it with BW during this..is not knowing how to work together..respecting boundaries..BW will sabotage another BW's relationship/marriage/family or job/promotion and thus leaving the individual/group in chaos...getting us nowhere..

1.(standard of beauty) Unfortunately, most bw define their degree of beauty through the prism of Eurocentric standards. I think that it's most evident, not just with hue of color, but shape and size of noise etc., thus, it is in most minds, based on proximity to their respective degree of Euro-programming.

2.(how bw view each other) Depends entirely on her degree of self confidence and awareness of the individual self. Those that are so composed, view other bw with supportive empathy and sisterhood; and those who are less endowed with confidence, see other black women as their adversaries and their competition for the masculine scraps on and around the table.

3.(how others view bw) Once again....Depends. It depends on the observer's degree of uncompromised objectivity. Black women don't exist or live in a vacuum, separated from the rest of the world. Those that understand the cause/effect dynamic in all things will view sisters fairly; some might even view them as strong survivals, considering what they are required to endure.

On how they are viewed physically or aesthetically: my travels have reflected that in some places, depending on their quantitative presence, they are viewed as exotic fruit (Italy for example) and in other western countries where they exist in larger numbers, and the eurocentric standards of beauty kicks end; they are judged more critically depending on their eye of the beholder.

4.(how bm view bw) At it's core, black men, do in fact, preponderantly love black women. They are our initial template for feminine beauty. They are the our initial masculine/feminine experience in life where SEX is not a part of the equation. From them, we hone our masculine instincts etc.. That's the organic side of our relationship.

There will however, always be those who choose to exercise their "return policy," and opt out. The motives behind their doing so varies from the poisonous ideologies that disfigures our nature love and makes us spiritually unrecognizable to each other. To individuals inability to deal with accountability, as well as those who suffer from post traumatic relationship stress that indict all men (or women) for what only one or two has done etc.. And lastly, there is that small percentage who in earnest, simply find their partners outside of the bw paradigm.

BM love Bw, but unfortunately, perception is oftentimes, greater than reality.

4.(honor and loyalty) Those sisters that aren't governed by the "Imma get mine" mentality possess copious quantities of honor and loyalty. They view themselves as a part of a whole and it reflects accordingly.

5.(History) Both Black male and females of recent times are disconnected from our historical past, so they are not alone in this regard.

6.(Media) Give way to much power to the media to define how they see and fell about themselves; even though they understand that the media exist to service the interest of those who are unlike themselves. And in far too many cases, we bm and bw, unfortunately have become caricatures of what is expected of us.

7.(How can they do better) We, they can do better by first, accept responsibility for ourselves and not externalize blame for our every tribulation. Train and condition their impulses; understand better the power of their femininity and not allow selfish men to separate them from these nature powers. Understand that when they are in character, they have the amazing power to influence and inspire men, children and yes......even each other.
