Just like we always do about this time. The NFL football season is here with pre-season well under way, and kickoff set for Sep 7 when My Atlanta Falcons host the New orleans Saints. How time flies.Time to fire up the grills for the tail gate parties.Keep the beers cold, and leave the haters out.(unless you reppin' your team). Who you think will take this year's crown?

Its really hard to predict who will make the playoffs.. or the superbowl... the football season rarely turns out the way we as fans predict it ..... Just enjoy the season and best of luck to all the NFL teams........BTW , I'm a college football fan.....

I must say it has been interesting. Maybe he can coach or do commentary?

I am not going to pick an outright Super Bowl winner this year. I picked the dreaded Houston Texans last year and boy did they take a dump. I have a few teams that should be in the hunt....

-Philadelphia Eagles - If they improved their defense even a little , watch out. Play in weak NFC East so playoffs shouldn't be a problem. Nick Foles is the real deal. They shouldn't really miss DeSean Jackson as they drafted Jordan Matthews and still have Jeremy Maclin. They added super back Darren Sproles and still have LeSean McCoy.

Seattle Seahawks - Lost some key defensive players (Walter Thurmond , Chris Clemons) but they have tons of depth on "D". Picked up speedy WR Paul Richardson in the draft which is about the only thing they needed : a burner on the outside to stretch the defense. They have TWO RB in "beast mode" : Marshawn Lynch and Christine Michael , a Lynch-like clone.

Denver Broncos - Got manhandled by the Hawks last year in the Super Bowl but what team didn't last year. Won't happen again. Lost some keys on defense (Wesley Woodward , the geriatric Champ Bailey) but picked up Aquib Talib , a DeMarcus Ware with something to prove , and head-hunting S T.J. Ward. The defense is vastly improved. RB Montee Ball can be a star if he holds on to the "rock". Offense will score some points but not at last year's freakish pace.

San Francisco 49ers - Too bad their stuck in the same division with Seattle. Colin Kaepernick signed huge contract so he's got to keep improving. Signed WR Stevie Johnson from Buffalo. He will help. DE Aldon Smith and his sacks will be missed due to suspension. The LB and DT Justin Smith will have to pick up the slack. The Niners could go 12-4 and still not win the division.

New England Patriots - I think Tom Brady still has one more year in the arm. The Pats weakness (the secondary) became the best in the league with the pickup of CB Darrelle Revis and CB Brandon Browner. Top draft pick DE Dominique Easley has all the makings of a "beast" on the D-line. TE Rob Gronkowski needs to play a full season. He is unstoppable when he is healthy. I don't like their RB but with a mix of Stevan Ridley , Shane Vereen and others they should get by.

Other teams that could be in the mix - St. Louis , Arizona , Carolina , Chicago , Green Bay , and Pittsburgh

Teams on the decline - NY Giants , Dallas , Kansas City and Baltimore.

St. Louis is in the mix and don't leave out The Cleveland Browns. Don't sleep on either of those two. I see the playoffs for both. Remember where you heard it first. Go Rams Go Browns!!!

Yes I like St. Louis a lot. The defensive line , IMO , is the best in the NFL. Who s going to be their QB , Shaun Hill? I think they need an upgrade over that guy.Terrelle Pryor maybe?

Sounds good to me. Denver/Seattle rematch with a much different result this time. I think Peyton will still be the main cog on offense but the running/receiving out of the backfield part of the offense looks better this year.

Stalker??? I'm merely an individual who is stating an opinion that the Denver Broncos are stacked on all sides of the ball.

Hopefully your 49ers will stop the in house fighting amongst themselves and evolve like the Seahawks did.

I agree. Defense wins championships and Broncos had a wake up call from the very first play of the SB. Talib is the real deal.
