Christianity is one of the best tricks used by the oppressor to indoctrinate the Black man into the way of thinking white. This is why Rev Jeremiah Wright was NOT defended by the black preachers. This is why the black preachers closed their doors to Martin Luther King Jr. This is why black preachers reject the Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad as taught by Minister Louis Farrakhan. Leonard Pitts argument is off. He is equating homosexuality to a physical or genetic trait. Homosexuality is a behavior and is not the same as being born genetically black. Also, Jesus told all sinners to cease from their behavior if they wanted to follow him. Jesus told people to change their behavior and be born again. Pitts is saying inferring that being black means we have innated genetic behaviors, which is not true. Pitts is also saying the homosexuals don't have to stop engaging in homosexual behavior to be accepted by Jesus. This is untrue. If you follow Pitt's argument, he is saying that black people are predisposed to lusting after and white women, and if this is how how black people act, why condem the behavior, Jesus loves black people no matter how they act. The Gospels of Jesus clearly define the parameters of behavior in order to follow him. You have to let go of any urges of the flesh, be it fornication or homosexuality. These are behaviors nothing more and for the homosexual community to link their fight to the civil rights movement is an insult.
