"According to one of the key witnesses expected to testify before the committee this week, even Ambassador Stevens himself had repeatedly requested more security personnel, but was turned down.
Lt. Col. Andy Wood, the former head of a U.S. Special Forces "Site Security Team" in Libya, has told CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson that he and many other senior staff at the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli, "felt we needed more, not less" security personnel in the country, but were told "to do with less. For what reasons, I don't know."

The lying left Keeps on spinnin'!
"A key witness?" Lt. Col. Andy Wood has an inflated opinion of his own self-worth. He was a member of the Utah National Guard. He never served in the "military" and was assigned to Libya for a mere six months... February 12, 2012 to August 14, 2012, where he was put in command of the 16 member Temporary Member Site Security Team working directly for the Regional Security Officer. The same SST team that Ambassador Stevens declined two specific offers from General Carter Ham to sustain in the weeks before the terrorist attacks."

Senate Report, page 20/21:

State Department headquarters made the decision not to request an extension of the SST's mission in August 2012, approximately one month prior to the attacks, because State believed that many of the duties of the SST could be accomplished by local security forces, DS agents, or other State Department capabilities. As a result, DoD changed the mission of the DoD personnel in Libya from protection of the U.S. Embassy to training with the Libyan Security forces."

Mr. Wood, in his lengthy written statement to the committee, stated that the "State Department's decision not to extend SST's security work beyond August 5th terminated our work in this capacity."

"DoD confirmed to the Committee that Ambassador Stevens declined two specific offers from General Carter Ham, then the head of AFRICOM, to sustain the SST in the weeks before the terrorist attacks. After reading the August 16, 2012, EAC cable, General Ham called Ambassador Stevens and asked ifthe Embassy needed the SST from the U.S. military, but Stevens told Ham it did not. Shortly thereafter, Stevens traveled to Germany for a previously scheduled meeting with Ham at AFRICOM headquarters. Ham again offered to sustain the SST at the meeting, and Stevens again declined."

I may have misspelled his name a couple of times, but at least I respect the memory of the man unlike Hillary the Pillory-ist.

"I" never would have left him there as helpless zealot bait, a lamb among wolves.

Here's a tip: Hillary would not have treated you any better than she did him if you were in Steven's position. Consider "that" the next time you lie for your glorious elitist pigs at the top.

Former Virginia governor Robert F. McDonnell and his wife Maureen were charged Tuesday with illegally accepting gifts, luxury vacations and large loans from a wealthy Richmond-area businessman who sought special treatment from state government.

Authorities alleged that McDonnell and his wife received gifts from executive Jonnie R. Williams again and again, lodging near constant requests for money, clothes, trips, golf accessories and private plane rides.

In exchange, authorities alleged that the McDonnells worked in concert to lend the prestige of the governorship to Williams’s struggling company, a small former cigarette manufacturer that now sells dietary supplements.

The two were charged with 14 felony counts, including wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, obtaining property under color of their official office and conspiring to the do the same.

They were also charged with making false statements to a federal credit union.

McDonnell was also charged with making a false statement to a financial institution, and Maureen McDonnell was charged with obstructing the investigation.

Guess this has to be repeated again...
Declassified documents reveal Obama was briefed on the Benghazi terrorist attack minutes after the assault began.
Gen. Carter Ham told a House panel that he broke the news of a terrorist attack to CIA Director Panetta and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Dempsey.
Dempsey and Panetta, according to Hamm's testimony, "had the basic information as they headed across for the meeting at the White House."
Panetta testified he informed Obama about the attack and said, "There was no question in my mind that this was a terrorist attack."
So in the minds of the truly gullible, Gen. Dempsey and Leon Panetta had "no question in their minds" that this was "a terrorist attack" and informed Obama within minutes of the attack, but Obama did not lie or try to cover it up.
Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, was told by top State Department officials that they knew "immediately it was a terrorist attack", but she did not lie or cover up a terrorist attack on 9/11 either.
Liberals are just too gullible for their own good.
And once again Carol, the President never denied that it was a terrorist act. You right wingers are too stupid to be believed.
