Barack Obama, our next President

"The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep," Obama cautioned. Young and charismatic but with little experience on the national level, Obama smashed through racial barriers and easily defeated ... Full Story

Easy answer to this statement, so is EVERYTHING else you enjoy. It's all wealth redistribution via the government. So how do you figure the constitution got around that! from Airport security, CIA, FBI, Homeland security to name just a few. How is it they got hold of your taxes ?? That's wealth redistribution, so go back to the drawing board or more appropriate Glen Beck's black board to show us how one is wealth redistribution and the other not!
The wealthy have always paid more in taxes for services everyone uses. Many average income Americans are going to pay a lot more for coverage they don't need so others can get it for free.

Taxes are like death - the two things that don't change.

Government dictating we have to pay more for something we don't want so others can have it for free is redistribution of wealth.

Not sure if you see the difference but there is a difference.

Maybe Galt can do a better job explaining it.

<quoted text>Well Carol you seem to be forgetting your own words to the effect that the President was blaming the GOP for problems with the rollout. Here's what he actually said;
"Let me close by addressing some of the politics that have swirled around the Affordable Care Act. I recognize that the Republican Party has made blocking the Affordable Care Act its signature policy idea. Sometimes it seems to be the one thing that unifies the party these days. In -- in fact, they were willing to shut down the government and potentially harm the global economy to try to get it repealed.
And I'm sure that given the problems with the website so far, they're going to be looking to go after it even harder. And let's admit it, with the website not working as well as it needs to work, that makes a lot of supporters nervous because they know how it's been subject to so much attack, the Affordable Care Act generally.
But I just want to remind everybody, we did not wage this long and contentious battle just around a website. That's not what this was about. We waged this battle to make sure that millions of Americans in the wealthiest nation on Earth finally have the same chance to get the same security of affordable quality health care as anybody else. That's what this is about. "
Is there anything there blaming the GOP for the rollout difficulties? No. His is rightfully pointing out that the Republicans are using this as another talking point. Bush's Medicare Part D experienced similar difficulties but Democrats, even those who voted against it, helped fix it and get it up and running.
You heard what you wanted to hear Carol, your thought processes have been so warped by hatred that you couldn't hear anything else.
You reiterated what I said he said using different words.

Instead of taking responsibility for a bad law they can't even get off the ground because it's too massive and intrusive, he blamed Republicans for "potentially harming the global economy" because they tried to prevent this law from doing exactly the same.

Prominent Democrats are saying it's time to start over. Which is what Republicans have also been saying.

Problem for this president is he's still trying to demonize his opposition while his fellow Democrats are joining the opposition.

Private schools educate AND instill a moral compass. How horrid.
Can't have taxpayers paying for that.
The first public schools used the Bible to teach reading. Adults didn't shy away from their obligation to teach right from wrong.

Prayers and Bible reading were routinely done in public schools until the late 1960s. About the same time the progressive secularists got their hooks into the American psyche.

Students are now expelled for simply expressing their Christian beliefs wearing symbols or drawing religious themes in art classes. Adults are now afraid to teach right from wrong because of the politically correct poison that has confused the role of student/teacher relationships.

Everyone accepts one belief system cannot be favored over another in public schools. However, simply allowing parents to choose a private school over a public school with the freedom of choice to do so is no longer considered American.

Think about that...freedom of choice is not considered American.

You idiot. Employers do not force you to take their health care, nor do they fine you if you don't enroll. Even the state government in my state does not require you to sign up. As a matter of fact, they (and private employers) warn you if you don't pick a package within 30 days of starting employment, you cannot sign up until the next open enrollment period.
You always just say sh*t that is incorrect. You Reichtards will say anything to justify the unethical and socialist behavior of the leftist socialist Democrat party and your liar child in the White House.
You are an idiot!
Look, dickbreath, I never said they had to accept the employer supplied heath insurance.

Galt was having a fit because in the employer based plans in the exchanges, employees signed up. I merely said those getting insurance through the employer in the past also had to sign up with the insurance companies.

I said:
Just like new employees must enroll in the health insurance offered by their employer as a benefit.

This had to do with how employees enroll after they chose to do so.

You right whiners are all a bunch of uninformed, uneducated dumbasses.

My God. No wonder we get Cruz & Rand "the fraud" Paul elected into the US Senate.

You have the freedom to choose to pay to send your child to parochial school or homeschool him.
You don't have the right to practice your religion in public schools.
