Good game last night between the Nets & Heat.
Out of 3 games played, Brooklyn has beaten Miami all 3 times.
Miami is finding out just how difficult it really is to 3-peat.
What's up Vamp ???? I did NOT see that Heat & Nets game, but I am definitely picking the Miami Heat for the Eastern Conference once again. We'll see if they can do it again. Hey your Knicks are getting closer to that eight spot in the Eastern Conference. Take care.....

HBS you know I give you grief about your team but it could improve in the near future. I keep hearing that LEBRON JAMES is coming out west once he hits free agency. Get him....and UCLA boy Kevin Love ......in the near future and your boys will be back on top. Dont feel bad about the pathetic season for LA. At least youre not a Sixers fan. They have lost 25 GAMES IN A ROW!! I know how does a team manage to reach that level of "suckiness" ? I think its called "TANKING THE SEASON" in hopes of getting a lottery pick in the draft. Losing on purpose by playing a bunch of rookies and has- beens. If I was in Philly I wouldnt pay NBA prices to watch a college team , you know? So , whats your take on Phil Jackson taking over and running that train wreck known as the New York Knicks?

Yes the Clippers and Rockets are having GREAT seasons, but I am NOT a fan of any of those teams. The Clippers are a California team, but I still dislike them. I also dislike the Sacramento Kings, even when the Kings had C. Webber. I am a Lakers fan and I DO support the Warriors. We will see what happens with the Warriors. The Spurs is definitely the team to beat out West and they are having an AWESOME season.

Mr. Broncos Fan you always give me some SERIOUS grief about my Lakers lol.. LeBron James would be a TRUE BLESSING for the Lakers and he definitely would bring some future NBA Titles to the city of LA. I definitely DON’T ever see him going back to Cleveland lol. I would also bring UCLA guy Kevin Love on board too. I am sure the youngster Kevin Love would LOVE to leave those Timberwolves and come back to his roots of Southern Cali with the Lakers. Also I am hearing trade rumors about Kevin Love possible going to the Knicks. These trade rumors create a lot of hype lol.. Yes those Sixers are also having a ROUGH SEASON and they to make some changes during the off season as well lol. LMAO at the “Tanking the Season” comment. This might be true lol…..

Well Phil Jackson is definitely one of the best NBA coaches of all time. He was the coach of those amazing Chicago Bulls of the 1990’s which obtained Jordan and Pippen. Also the amazing LA Lakers with Shaq Diesel and Kobe. Now Phil Jackson CAN NOT create miracles everywhere he goes, but we will see if he will help turn the Knicks. around. We will see if he motivates Carmelo Anthony to stay with the Knicks. Phil Jackson can be a mentor for Carmelo Anthony and they have been talking.

These Knicks are not the Bulls of the 90's. I say that respectfully, but I'm being honest too.

The Knicks are good...they're just lethargic and "out of it". You can't coach folk out of that mentality; that's on the players.

Carmelo's leadership will have to be "like Mike's" in that he'll have to call shots on & off the floor as to how the organization navigates themselves through the downscale. He's going to have to become more vocal as to who goes and who stays and his game has to be flawless.

Cosign and they are definitely NOT the Knicks of the 1990's either (P. Ewing, Pat Riley, and company).

I agree that Anthony's leadership will have to be like MJ's. He will need to call shots on and off the court. As a child (1990's) I did not realize that MJ was calling shots off the court. When you are the best player on the team, you have some serious POWER. Phil Jackson will need to mentor him to keep him with the Knicks.Yes his game will need to be flawless and he will need to play better defense in my opinion. Like my Lakers, the Knicks will need to improve the team and make some changes during the off season. Whatever happens, Anthony will still be making the MEGA DOLLARS. Please don't talk crap about my Lakers lol.....

Aw man, I don't think I've ever seen LA this challenged. They didn't struggle THIS BAD since Magic coached 'em.

The Knicks bit it yesterday. They decided to run with the Heat and got winded. You have to slow the ball down and implement a 1/2 court offense with Miami because they'll have you coughin' up a lung trying to keep up with them. New York was a tad overzealous and paid for it.

Brooklyn fcuked up a 20+ point margin against Philly Saturday night but held on and clenched the "W". Philly turned up too late. Its good seein' Garnet back tho'. The closer to post season, I ASSume Brooklyn will make him and Paul Pierce sit out just to keep them fresh for playoffs.

HBS how goes it? Long time no talk :>P

NBA season is drawing to a close. Back East I still don't see anyone getting past Miami. They are the champs until further notice and they turn it on down in South Beach come this time of year. Indiana? No. They are only 13-12 since the All-Star break and only beat the PATHETIC Milwaukee Bucks by 2 points last night. A lot of bickering and fighting going on too with the Pacers between players and players and players and coach. Its a hot mess in Indy lol. MAYBE Brooklyn or the Chi-Town can challenge the Heat but I seriously doubt it.

STILL liking the Clippers coming out of the West. Yes San Antonio is rolling....BUT.......I think they will get knocked off. I keep forgetting about OKC , too. Kevin Durant and Russ Westbrook could easily lead them to the finals but I just think it's Blake Griffin and Chris Pauls' year this year. We'll see. After my HORRIFIC predictions on the NFL thread maybe I should give up on talking shit about any sports LOL..........nah :}

How did you do in the NCAA tourney? Me? I came close......I had Kentucky winning it all and I had 3 teams total correct in the Final Four.

Yeah my Lakers are having a sh*tty season, but I still love my Lakers. I love my Lakers through THICK and THIN. I am a true fan. The Lakers organization will have their work cut out for them during the off season. They have to rebuild the team and seek the right players.

I did not watch much NBA action last weekend but I knew that Miami was going to place a BEATING on the Knicks lol.. Yes you have to play the right type of offense when playing the Heat or they will make you pay for it. I see that the score was 102-91. How the h*ll did Brooklyn f*ck up that 20+ point margin against Philly??? Well at least they won and I see that they won that game 105-101. The Sixers are one of the worst teams in the NBA.

That may be a good idea to keep Garnett and Pierce out because Brooklyn has clinched their playoff spot. Keep those players healthy and fresh. I can’t wait for the playoff action to start.

I am doing fine Mr. Broncos Fans. Yes long time no talk.:P

Yes Miami is the team to beat out East and once again they have my full support. Yes I hear South Beach is the sh*t this time of year. Wow the Pacers had issues with the sorry Milwaukee Bucks lol. Yeah the Pacers are having issues, but keep in mind that the Pacers gave the Heat a run for their money last year in the playoffs. I am still having flash backs about that lol. We will see if Brooklyn or Chi-Town (your town) can challenge the Heat, but I still think the Heat will pull it off at the end.

Out West I have been monitoring the Warriors and I would love to see them make it far in the playoffs. Remember last year they gave the Spurs some competition in the playoffs. Blake Griffin and the Clippers are doing very well, but I dislike them lol. I only like one LA Team lol. I dislike them too, but the Spurs are having a great season and they are the team to beat out west. I also always forget about OKC with Durant and the crew. OKC is definitely another team to watch out for. I am ready for playoff action ASAP.

Just don’t pick the Texans next NFL season and you should be fine lol. Yeah I picked Kentucky to win it all, but they lost lol. Maybe next season one of my PAC 12 Teams will win it all lol. I give UConn big props on their success. Go UConn!!!!

Good morning HBS. How are you? Me? Im just "living the dream". Thanks for asking.

I think the Pacers are a little overhyped by the media. The media has built them up to be the team that can knock off the Heat. The ONLY team in the East that currently is capable of that. They are certainly good but not yet even in the Heats' "league". When a team has their star player (Paul George) have games in recent weeks where he scored ONE POINT and TWO POINTS, you have to calm down a bit. Can you think of a time when LeBron James was held to a single point in a game? I cant. Until a team actually wins a ring , a cup , or a trophy then I usually hold off on comparing them to teams that have won something.

Yes , if the Bulls (full disclosure : I have never been a Bulls fan , even during the "Michael and the Jordanaires" years) ever get Derrick Rose back for an entire season , they very well could beat the Heat and be the team out of the Eastern Conference. I just don't see that happening. Rose is fragile. He is starting to remind me of Grant Hill......always injured.

Yep , cant forget about those Spurs. If it wasn't for a Game 6 Ray Allen miracle 3-point bomb last year , Coach "Pop" and the Spurs would have been champs and not Miami. People sort of forget how close the Spurs were last year. I just think that the "core" (Duncan , Parker , Ginobli) is just a little too old and a little too injured this time around. We shall see.

Congrats to UCONN. 4 titles in the past 12 years or something? I didn't see them doing much this year but that's when they are good......when no one expects much. They kind of "fly under the radar" the entire season and then go beserk in the tourney.

I'm pretty amped over the playoffs too. We MAY just have new World Champions. OR, the Heat may just be working on a dynasty...but I can't see it...I'm not a believer just yet. Miami, with all of their success aside, are pretty one dimensional; and they're not that deep in terms of as to who comes off the bench. If Lebron wasn't such a MACHINE who can play practically an entire game & seldom tires out, the Heat would be fcuked.

The Sixers?? I don't even wanna talk about it (I feel a headache comin' on).

The Clippers can thank David Stern for their success. If they can't get out of the first round this year, maybe they need divine intervention!

http://www.clipsnation.com/2014/1/31/5363960/...

IMO, the intervention of David Stern in the Chris Paul trade has really led to the decline of the Lakers' franchise since 2011. The Lakers were not able to get it together after that.

Hey What’s up?? I am alive and healthy. I can’t complain about that.:P
Yeah despite the Pacers having a better regular season record than the Heat, I still put my money on the Heat. The Pacers are definitely NOT in the Heat’s league. LMAO at your Paul George comment and you are telling the truth lol. I really cannot think of a single time when James was held to a single point in a game. Yeah the Pacers are a good team, but the Heat are the Champs.

Okay Mr. Bulls Fan. Hey you know you were a HUGE Bulls fan during the Michael Jordan years (stop lying lol). I am 100% sure that you have a Bulls jersey and a pair of Air Jordan shoes lol. Yeah the Bulls will be a better team with Rose back, but I still don’t think they could beat the Heat. I read a news article that stated Rose should be 100% next season. I hope he stays healthy. We will see Mr. Bulls Fan lol.

Yes we can’t forget about the Spurs and their great season (62-20). Yeah the Spurs are old, but they are experienced and consistent. Don’t worry I am NOT a Spurs Fan lol. Ray Allen is a BEAST from 3 point territory and I DO remember that 3 point bomb from last year in game 6. The Spurs were close last year and that series went 7 games for a reason. The series was very interesting.

Cosign I did not see UConn (Men’s Team) winning the Championship this year. It’s amazing that both the UConn Men’s Basketball Team and the UConn Women’s Basketball Team won national championships this year. Wow!!!!!
