Why do blacks and hispanics dislike eachother?

I am black, and I do not dislike hispanics and I do not understand why in general, blacks and hispanics do not like eachother.

My hispanic friend explained it to me, but I still think that's a stupid reason and I don't get it.

She says that there are three main classes in america. She says White People are A, Black people are B, and Hispanic people are C. She says that now everyone accepts black people in society and in most places they are treated like any other citizens despite their past with slavery. She says that black people can't get over their past and they want special treatment from everyone just because of what happened to their ancestors. She says hispanics are mad because blacks are treated fairly in society today and should get over what happened because hispanics are the real ones suffering today. She says that since Blacks "B" and Hispanics are "C", it's not hair because black people want all the attention and they don't want Hispanics to rise up and be more accepted in society. The hispanics are mad because they feel like everyone hates them and expects them to be illegal aliens, even if they are not. She said that the hispanics think they deserve to be at the "B" class in society and they think blacks are below them.

My friend is not racist at all, and she does not believe any of that crap, but she just explained it to me from a hispanic point of view since she has friends, relatives, and other people in her community who DO believe that.

So what do black people think about hispanics then?

Zahra, I like the way your friend explained it, However most of it is misconceprion.

I get along fine with hispanics. a lot of blacks do. Of course you have your racists in both races, but for the most part Browns and Blacks get along..SOMEWHAT.

the problem is that you have SOOO many different Hispanics and Blacks for that matter. Hispanics ahve always had more opportunities than blacks...not much but more none the less.

Also Hispanics are VERY welcomed into American culture just as much as blacks. Many people of Hispanic decent have made a mark on American Culture.

I speak this from having majority Hispanic Friends...They have a seperate culture from Blacks but at the same time have a connection with us. Im not saying ALL Hispanics are like this Im saying that Blacks and Hispanics have helped each other out in the past.

Go tell you hispanic friend that Puerto Rico, the Dominacan Republic,and other hispanic Carribean Islands all had black slavery, so much so that Hispanic people have a recogniziable percentage of black admixture among their population. Look at them some look white, some look black,but most to me, especially the Dominicans, don't look too different than biracial white black mixed Americans, unti they start speaking spanish, the only way you know that they are hispanic.To me they are just multiracial people who speak spanish.

Wish I could say the same for the midwest. Its not so much that people are flat out not getting along, its still that feeling eachother out period. The influx of Latinos is relatively still new around these parts compared to other regions of the country.

I'm cool with a some latinos but I don't really like them like that. They are not black and will never have black's best interest in mind so latinos shouldn't be on our closet allies list. Any time a spanish person is in power, they are going to look out for other Spanish even if its detrimental to blacks so blacks should not care about them. We are all in the same boat of poverty but we should deal with them only for a few comman goals but never trust them or put anything past them. They can turn on you in a second for their own kind, we should do the same.

Conscience sister..how about this though- I am Cuban.a Black Cuban of that..I konw well about my history indeed, and I know that many lighter skinned Cubans etc htink they are better than me because I look "black", but I also get along ust fine with Hispanic people matter of fact Hispainc women are my #1 preference..but there is more than meets the eye..

What you all must realize is you CANNOT PIGEONHOPLE HISPANIC PEOPLE.

They come from all races..ALL. I personally know I aint from Spain..I am form Cuba..and that ties from West Africa because that is where my particular blakc ancestry came from that was taken to Cuba as slaves...

Personally, all of this hate is ABSURD. Just try to get along with each other. I have never hated an individual based on their skin tone. I may dislike someone based on their character, not race. Let's face it, azzholes come in all colors...

Sorry to say this but black are just as confused as Hispanics. Most nearly EVRY black that can pass off as White or NOT BLACK will. Seldom If any Lighter skinned blacks take pride in their West African part of them.

Gee.... look at the Crime statistics. Hispanics are killing blacks at such a high rate that even the FBI is trying to cook the books and fudge the numbers. Did you know that in AZ hispanics are counted as whites when figures are tallied for white on black crime? Yet....when figures are tallied for black on white crime or black on hispanic crime....the hispanics are seperated from whites?

It's quite obvious that there is an agenda here....

The FEDS pump up the REAL white on black crime figures by lumping in hispanics in with the whites. Seems us whitey's are'nt kicking the shit out of you blacks quite enough to keep Jesse and fat Al Sharpton in business....so the Feds have to sweeten up the numbers by adding hispanics in with us. The truth is that hispanics are killing you blacks in absolutely huge numbers..... as compared to whites killing blacks.

Me personally, I don't get it. At the end of the day to alot of America both blacks and mexicans are N words to them, so why do we fight each other? I'm black and proud to be my girlfriend is latino and we have a son on the way. How am I gonna explain all this to my son. Its ignorant.
