I know that. I was referring to the main island. And most people refer to PR as a island.

An African-American being jealous of a Puerto Rican is like King Kong being jealous of a little tiny ant.

Most people probably think that Hawai is just one island as well when it too is an archipelago.

That King Kong reference might be taken as a racial slur.

I am starting to see a lot of jealousy coming from African Americans. I am a prod Puerto Rican but what is it with blacks always trying to pick with us Puerto Ricans ??? is it because us Puerto Ricans are sexy and hot ass Latinos ? Its true that white people love us more then african americans because we have a beautiful culture. Hell thats the reason why Puerto Rico is a common wealth now. Puerto Rico is a land of beauty. African Americans are just jealous the U.S has never tried to make any African country a common wealth. WANNA KNOW WHY ??? Because Africa is full of nothing but violence, criminals, rapists, killers, riots, and WARS ! I volunteered to help a zimbabwean village before and I can see why now U.S has lost all hope with black people in GENERAL worldwide. African Americans are violent people. ITS IN THE AFRICAN AMERICAN BLOOD I SUPPOSE ! I see a lot of jealousy everywhere I go where black girls get jealous of Puerto Rican girls because they take their men, have beautiful long hair, are exotic, and have that spanish flavor african american girls will never have. I'm proud to a Puerto Rican and jealous African americans will never take that away from me !!!!!!

Well, during the Korean War they saved your asses as you turned your backs on the Chinese and ran for cover and left the Puerto Rican 65th Regiment behind to let you frantically run back to your ships. Does that count?

Excerpt:
The enemy made many attempts to encircle the Regiment, but each time they failed because of the many casualties inflicted by the 65th. The 65th was part of a task force which enabled the U.S. Marines to withdraw from the Chosin Reservoir on December 1950.

When the Marines were encircled by the Chinese Communist troops close to the Manchurian border, they were ordered to retreat and worked their way back to Hungnam. The men of the 65th rushed to their defense and ordered to stay behind and fight the enemy. As a consequence, the Marines were able to return safely to their ships. The 65th held the rear guard and were the last unit to embark from Hungnam. The men of the 65th who participated in said action were awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.[14] Among the battles and operations in which the 65th participated was Operation Killer in January 1951, becoming the first Regiment to cross the Han River in South Korea during the operation
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/65th_Infantry_Re... (United_States)

General Douglas MacArthur, was quoted in Tokyo saying the following:[24]
"The Puerto Ricans forming the ranks of the gallant 65th Infantry on the battlefields of Korea…are writing a brilliant record of achievement in battle and I am proud indeed to have them in this command. I wish that we might have many more like them."

True. Most people don't bother knowing about geography. But I refer to PR as a island, because most people from the Caribbean do. That is what they see it as I guess.

I can't tell the difference between white Cubans, white PRs white Argentineans and white Dominicans and other white Latinos that I have personally met and the so-called white Anglos. In fact, on many occasions the white Latinos look whiter than the white Anglos.

Example?

Stand Angelina Jolie next to Cameron Diaz or Christina Aguilera. or place Emilio Esteves next to Burt Reynolds. A balanced perspective requires one to divest oneself of preconceived notions. Otherwise selective vision and outlandish conclusions resulting in unjustifiable generalities will tend to predominate.
